MYOW advanced ticket purchase

Ok, so we are leaving Friday morning for disney and we were going to purchase our park tickets online at the disney website. I read in the FAQ that you save money by purchasing in advance but when we add the tickets to the cart and go to check out it says "you saved $0.00 by purchasing in advance" Anyone know why there is no discount? Did we wait to long? We would be picking the tickets up at the will call or our resort - do you only get a discount if they are shipped? I'm curious and time is running out ...

You didn't state exactly what tickets you are trying to buy but my guess would be that you are trying to get 4 days or less which have no advance discount pricing. The advance discount starts with 5 day tickets.

We are actually trying to purchase 9 days tickets with park hopping and the extra magic plus (water park option). I didn't realize there were specific rules as to which tickets got the discount, anyone know the details?

According to the ticket FAQ on allearsnet, the advanced purchase price for the ticket you describe IS about 12 dollars less than the gate price, 291 compared to 303. Doesn't explain why the Disney website told you otherwise but it looks like you did save some money!

If you're buying advance tickets directly from Disney and you have a Discover card, WAIT! Call Discover first and tell them you want to enroll in the 5% amusement park rebate. It's free for a limited time and there's no catch. It's available on all amusement parks and gas purchases through 8/31/05.

I called and asked about ticketmania and they didn't think so.

It's a fluke in the programming of the Disney website.

One adult GATE price 9 day ticket with park hopping and magic plus pack is about $304.

One adult ADVANCE price 9 day ticket with park hopping and magic plus pack is about $292.

I just priced it out, and I got the same "Savings of $0" thing, but it is a discount from the gate price.
