The solution they came up with for me was to log in to all accounts and share everything with all accounts. That is a mess in itself, and I have done that. But, everything still doesn't show up in all accounts. I can't add confirmation numbers to a new account, because they are already linked to another account.

My situation is even more complicated because DVC continues to dump confirmation numbers in an account I didn't want to use.

I am only sharing this story so that others know they are not alone. I am happy for those who have everything working properly, but there are some of us that aren't as lucky. I am not worried about losing confirmation numbers, I have a hard copy - but it is frustrating not being able to have everything accessible online. The time involved with keeping confirmation numbers for a group of ten with this new system is enormous.

Same here. Originally, I was told to friend myself and my husband's two phantom accounts. Now, I have a running document of each of our four accounts, which one has which avatar, what reservations/ADRs are on each, which passes/KttW cards are on each and which ones are linked to DVC. All this because they made our two accounts into four!
After an hour on the phone and on hold with IT, the CM asked me for my phone number since he had to pass my case on to another group, I'm guessing one with more access to data, in order to straighten this up.
 
We are staying at POR. I did not receive an e-mail invitation, but when I logged into MDE a pop up came up asking if I were ready to customize my magic bands.....and I was able to. I am also able to book fastpass+ after September 28. I have to click on the > to get the calendar to push beyond 9/28, but the days are there after I do. Our trip is 9/24 - 10/1

I am at AoA and I can still only book out until 9/28 for FP+. I am able to select a day past that, and then select the people that I want included in that FP, but then going to the next screen (where you'd pick your park) I get a pop up that states 'there are no FP's available, please pick another day'.

I just downloaded the app and expected to see a section for FP+. Our trip reservation for November and our ADRs are all correct and viewable so will we be able to view FP+ stuff once (if) we become eligible? Or is it in another section that I missed? Thanks!

There is a FP+ section under my plans.
 
When do you usually find you are in the test group, or are able to do FP+? I have a trip booked for December, and am hoping that this is all out by then. But wondering, at what point do they send you a message or allow you to pick MagicBands or FP's?

Checking in to Pop on Sept 2nd and I have access to FP+ through to Oct 7th. I suspect it is because I have APs that are valid until Oct 7th.

So when you click on oct 7th you can go all the way through picking a park and selecting FP? If you have not done that please try to and report back. I am FP eligible through Oct 16th (60days from now) as I also have an AP but as stated there are no FPs past 9/28.
 
Do kids under three get a magic band?

Yes, my two year old got a band. Obviously can't make fast passes for her but was able to make the lunch reservation at Be our guest for her.

My question if anyone knows, is where do you make your pin number for the magic band so you can charge everything to your room?
 
We went in June and just had the RFID cards with a PIN and we created it on MDX under my account info.

Note to any taller people out there...my husband is 6'6" and has giant hands. The PIN pad is REALLY small, so not only did he have large hands and a small pin pad, but he was so far away from the tiny numbers because he's so tall. He had the worst time with it, but was fine after a few tries. The buttons were similar in size and closeness together to an iPhone keyboard, so imagine trying to type and send an email with your phone 4 feet away from your face! Haha!

One more question if anyone knows...when making my fast passes I don't get any options for parades/fireworks. Going 8/28-9/4. Wondering I'd these spots are all taken or if you have to do something special to reserve parade space.
 
Yes, my two year old got a band.

That's so weird, my 2yr old did not. When I called and asked they said because he's an infant and a "special guest" of Mickey Mouse.
 
Someone on Twitter reported that there would be some more testing in October, so I went around and did some research and have confirmed that the following resorts will be participating MyMagic+ testing through "mid-October". One person I talked to discussed it as the "initial rollout" and it seems that it will likely be extended. Here are the resorts: AKL (villas included), Contemporary (limited BLT reservations as well), Pop Century, POR, AoA, YC, BC (haven't heard anything on the villas yet), and Polynesian. At some point in this test, the "initial rollout" will begin from what I gather.

Tyvm for the info. I wonder what "limited BLT as well" means?
 
Do all of my children need to have individual MDE accounts in order to use fastpass+ (if we are selected)? We have an Oct 20th trip to AKL Jambo House.

I interpreted as not as many guests will get to participate at BLT as at other resorts (the selection pool will be smaller). It could mean something else though...

No, you just need to create small profiles for them under Friends & Family. Much easier.

Ahhhh... got it! Thanks so much! That makes sense why you have your media numbers to be able to link them to MDE... We are going through Disney...


ETA: of course its at AoA... we had to move our ressi from AoA to CBR because of a change in Trip goers... bummer!
