***MyMagic+ & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

I read the first post and am trying to see if I understand this correctly. I have not read the entire thread, so forgive me if this has already been asked. If my family books a room only reservation and buys our tickets at AAA will we be able to link our tickets to our reservation and use the FP+ option, or do we have to buy the tickets from WDW in order to use the FP+ option?

You can link your tickets through the MDX website / phone app. They do not have to be bought direct from Disney.

I'm sure this has been answered but I can't find it. If you book your 3 FP+ ahead of time, can you still get regular FP in the park the day you visit? And if so, do they have to be at different times than the time listed on your FP+?

They will be mutually exclusive while both are operating. Regular FP is expected to eventually die.

I just logged in into my disney-account and a fastpass+ window popped up.

Ok, now I am totally overwhelmed. :faint:
I understood that we are allowed to pick a few time-frames for participating attractions if we decide to join in this option. That is a little bit planning-overkill I think, but well, we should try it, maybe it turns out to be a very good thing.

As far as I understood, we can't use the regular fastpass system if we decided for fastpass+.

Additionally I found a link for those magic bands.

We arrive at Disney on Sep. 8, stay there until Sep. 13 (package).
We come back on-property on Sep. 21 and have enough ticket-days from the package to use them within the 14-day limit up to Sep. 23. (room only until Sep. 24)

- Are our ticket days saved on the magic-bands?

- Are those bands removable or do we have to wear them for our whole orlando-stay?

- Can we say "well, we do not want to wear those bands anymore, may we have regular kttw-cards?"

I do not want to mess up our reservation when we come back on property on Sep. 21...

I noticed this on my Disney Exp page too. I called WDW today. I was told by the CM I spoke with that they are RANDOMLY selecting people to still test the Magic Bands. Neither the Magic Bands nor the Fast Pass + option is 100% ready to go. According to this CM, Disney has not given any information on a specific date when these will go into full force effect.

Our travel dates begin October 19th, and the CM told me there is a small chance they would even be implemented by then. If at all (his words!).

When I asked why the options are showing up on the My Disney Experience he said those links are being added but are not yet fully functional.

I suppose I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet!

Sorry, to answer your last few questions, Liberator, yes the tickets are saved to your band. And yes, you can take your band off and just use the card. I would call, anyway, to clarify and to answer your last question.

I called Friday and I told the cast member my dates are from nov 8 th thru the. 18 th. She said there's no definite word all she could tell me was the goal was for it to be rolled out by our dates

This is all making me very anxious. Seems my arrival time is going to be when the system is very much in flux. I don't like that :sad2:

I can't see this being a great thing for us. We purchase the annual pass and, to make the most time out of the pass, do not activate it until we get to WDW. How would we be able to book our FP+ rides if the ticket isn't activated yet? It would be stupid for us to activate the AP 60 days out. We would lose 2 months on the pass! I actually called and the rep said that they don't know how that would work. Then I used the online chat feature (As many of you know, you can frequently get different answers from different reps) and the rep said that they are working on solutions for different scenarios.

Additionally, as someone with a few family members as Florida residents, how would that work? I have people who live in Orlando who decide they are going to WDW when they wake up! I don't blame them considering its a 20 minute drive!

You're getting worried far too early.

I'd expect that you'd be able to register the ID on the voucher, just like you were able to before to access the passholder site.

If you ordered them will-call, there will be a code on the confirmation. If this was before they were adding codes, I'm sure you will be able to call up and get it...WHEN AVAILABLE.

That will remain to be seen...no one knows how many FP+ might still be available on the day of use.

Disclaimer: Anything is possible.

That said, the CM's on the phone don't have any official insider info about MyMagic+ and FP+.
So, whatever info you get on the phone is just as speculative as anything you read here.

Sorry.... just s quick one, and I'm sorry if it's already been answered but I've only read the last few pages at the moment.

I live in the UK and booked my package through Disney. I have the MDE app on my phone, also on the laptop. I have never stayed onsite before or booked anything directly through Disney, we usually use an agent to get tickets so I'm not entirely sure of usual process?

My resort reservation comes up on both versions of MDE, but when I click on the tickets it asks me to link these manually.
Before all the news came out about fp+ came out I just assumed I'd collect tickets at check in.
Should the tickets automatically be linked in on MDE? Or will they send them out to me in advance so I can participate in fp+?
I'm not going until may, so I'm not too concerned at the moment, but I am just curious?

Thank you in advance

This was a reply I wrote to an earlier post, but it pretty much answers your question...

"I also have booked for January 2014. If you go on the desktop version of my Disney experience, your tickets will show up as well as your resort reservation. However, when I log into the app on my iPhone, only the resort shows up and not the tickets. I am not sure exactly what that is all about, however I expect as we get closer to January, the tickets will show up on the app allowing us to make our fast pass plus selections. Also currently on the desktop version, my tickets show up as a cards rather than magic bands. I also imagine, as we get closer to January and Disney probably has made the transition to all magic bands, that the "cards" will be changed to Magic bands."

My tickets don't appear on the desk top at all?

I just checked my MDE on the website (desktop) and new today (I have not been on the site since last week) there are now two "magic bands or cards" listed in my profile that match nothing I've ever seen. They are identified as KTTW cards. (Also now has FP+ link for the first time.)

I have had an AP for over 10 years. I have not used my KTTW card for park media since before then.

My AP shows in my profile, but not in the "magic bands and cards" section. Next trip is late October. I realize linking my AP might not have positive results, but I'm like a moth to a flame...decisions, decisions :scratchin

Those KTTW cards listed in the 'MagicBands and Cards' section are from prior trips. It will list RFID KTTW cards even if they did not have theme park admission tied to them. I have five listed on mine and I also have an AP. I also have most of the old KTTW cards so I could match the codes on the back of them to the codes on the screen (they match).
