Hi! I'm trying to follow along....do we have an official date for FP+?

Interesting point about a ride closure and how it will affect Fastpass+. Since we'll have no piece of paper to be collected, I wonder if the system will be able to recognize a closure window and un-used Fastpass+ reservations, allowing you to go at a later time.

If not, That will suck big time. Even if it let's you request another one to replace it, upper tier attractions won't be available for hours if at all.

You can see how making one little "fix" to a working system (FastPass rules changed into FastPass+ rules) can affect so many OTHER things.

I call this, "having to fix the first fix with another fix."

By the way, the first post, in the fastpass plus section it says disney has not confirmed that day trippers will have access to fp+.

"Right now, most speculate that FP+ will be available to all day guests (Disney has NOT confirmed this)"

In a replay to a comment on the disney blog post officially unveiling mymagic+, Tom staggs stated:

Hi, Todd. Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and Annual Passholders will receive a band, as well as those guests who purchase a photography package. Guests who stay at non-Disney hotels will receive a ticket with features of touch to enter the park, touch to redeem FastPass+ and touch to pay. These guests can participate in My Disney Experience and purchase a MagicBand if they wish.

You'll notice he says touch to redeem fastpass+ in the offsite section. So offsite will definitely have access, but it is unknown how much. I know it says offsite will have some form of access to mymagic plus in general further on in that first post, but i thought i could be made a little clearer that they do have access to fp+ in some form. Just thought it might be a little unclear from the wording, sorry! :)

Yes, anyone with a MYW ticket will have access at some level according to the information so far - but the question is whether they will have access on the day they enter the park, if they have not pre-booked them.

He says they can "redeem" Fastpass+ - doesn't say they can book them :)

Hi everyone - I am new to these boards but have been a regular reader as I prepare for my second WDW vacation in Oct/Nov this year.

I have been following the developments of MyMagic+ and Magicband for quite a while now and I am hoping both are in place before my vacation.

Being in Australia, I often access the My Disney Experience website during maintenance activities. A few weeks ago, I noticed a new section for FastPass+ and paper ticket conversions. I did not take a screenshot at the time and I never saw the page again.

I visited the page a few minutes ago, and the new sections are back in view - "Paperless Tickets and Passes" and "FastPass+". Could MyMagic+ and MagicBand be closer than we think?

Pictures: As a new member I do not seem to be able to post my screenshots... Please copy and past the following links and replace [DOT] with a .

So how is this going to affect those staying at Shades of Green and using the military promotion tickets? Are we going to be treated like regular day guests since Disney doesn't own SoG? If so that sucks the big one.

Where are they located on the app? Thanks,

On the WDW website, when you go to My Disney Experience and then My Reservations - that is where I saw the new sections. I have attached links to photos in my original message.

I just completed online check in for our trip which begins June 10th. I was playing with the "add plans" part of the My Disney Experience (website not app) and in searching attractions, I searched for ones that offered Fastpass - clicked on Space Mountain and there was a blue area on the side saying it was eligible to select for FastPass+ I was so excited I clicked "Select" without getting a screen shot...it then started to take me to a page to select a date but popped up with an error saying something along the lines of at least one member of our party must be "within the selection window" and booted me back to the space mountain page with the blue FastPass+ area no longer there.

I tried to recreate it to get a screen shot and couldn't. :confused3

Will try again tomorrow...

Did it work when you tried again? When I registered online, I didn't get an option for FP+. I will keep trying too. :yay:

There is now official word on when pre-selected guests will be able to test FP+.

As part of the test and adjust process for MyMagic+, a test involving Guests will begin onsite June 20. Selected Guests will be contacted beginning as early as June 3, inviting them to participate in the test. Test participants will:

Touch to enter their rooms, touch to enter the parks and touch to pay at eligible locations starting upon check in and continuing through their departure (all eligible parties will depart by July 6)
Redeem FastPass+ selections at all four theme parks between June 20 and June 26

Below is an outline of how eligibility for the test has been determined:

Eligible Guests:

Check-in date of June 20, 21 or 22 AND
Staying in Walt Disney World accommodations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House or Disney’s Contemporary Resort only

Ineligible Guests:

Check-in date outside testing window (before June 20 or after June 22) OR
Staying in a Disney Vacation Club villa (Jambo House, Kidani Village, Bay Lake Tower) OR
WDW Resort Guest staying anywhere other than the eligible locations above OR
Any Guest staying off property

Otherwise, based on past recent experiences with the MDE site, if you are not part of the pre-selected group, if you see something pop up regarding FP+ reservations on the MDE site, you can pretty much dismiss it as a software glitch.
