I've recently been very interested in reading about the Myers-Briggs personality types. Basically they came up with a system of classifying people based on their personality and there's 16 different types in all. Based on various tests I've taken, I'm an ENTP. So DISers, what are everyone's types??

For those who have yet to take a test, I found this one to be the best and most straightforward.

interesting. I'm like Abe L. and Bryon from Family guy!

INFP. I took the whole monster 3 hour (or however long it was) test, but I think this result is very accurate.

Portrait of an INFP -The Idealist - The Dreamer

Dominant: Introverted Feeling (Fi): INFPs live primarily in a rich inner world of emotion.
Auxiliary: Extroverted Intuition (Ne): INFPs engage the outside world primarily with intuition, adept at seeing the big picture, sensing patterns and the flow of existence from the past toward the future.
Tertiary: Introverted Sensing (Si): This function gives INFPs a natural inclination toward absent-mindedness, and makes them more easily distracted.
Inferior: Extroverted Thinking (Te): This function helps INFPs focus on external details, but being the inferior function requires the expenditure of energy.

ISFJ - "The Defender"

"ISFJs are characterized above all by their desire to serve others, their "need to be needed." In extreme cases, this need is so strong that standard give-and-take relationships are deeply unsatisfying to them; however, most ISFJs find more than enough with which to occupy themselves within the framework of a normal life."
- ISFJ Profile (TypeLogic)

"modest, not confrontational, easily hurt, observer, prone to crying, not spontaneous"
- Jung Type Descriptions (ISFJ) (similarminds.com)

"ISFJs have a rich inner world that is not usually obvious to observers. They constantly take in information about people and situations that is personally important to them, and store it away. This tremendous store of information is usually startlingly accurate, because the ISFJ has an exceptional memory about things that are important to their value systems. It would not be uncommon for the ISFJ to remember a particular facial expression or conversation in precise detail years after..."
- Portrait of an ISFJ (The Personality Page) "The primary desire of the Protector SJ is to be of service to others, but here "service" means not so much furnishing others with the necessities of life, as guarding others against life's pitfalls and perils, that is, seeing to their safety and security."
- The Portrait of the Protector Guardian (iSfJ) (Keirsey)

"At work, ISFJs contribute loyal, sympathetic, consistent, and considerate service to others. They are know for their kindness and for their willingness to go to any length to help those in need. They take the practical needs of people into account when they do their work, and their strong follow-through skills allow them to carry out organizational goals. They do at least what is expected to them and oftentimes more, without attracting attention to themselves. They are painstaking and responsible with detail and routine, and feel it is important to have the right things in the right places at the right times."
- ISFJ - The Nurturer (Lifexplore)

I've taken these Meyers-Briggs tests before for work and they are really pretty accurate...

I love Myers-Briggs and I have used it for years in business and personal life. Great book - Do what you are by Tieger

I'm an INTJ

I always thought it would be great for someone to write an M-B travel guide ...

I just took a self-scored Myer-Briggs in an unemployment :( workshop. I tested out as an ISTP, but after reading the descriptions I decided I'm an INTP. My sensing/intuition scores were really close.

But this time, I'm a raging ISTP :teeth: with a Sensing score of 85%!

ISTP - The "Craftsman" (9% of the population)

ISTPs are adventurous and independent. They like to figure out how things work. They have great mechanical and technical skills. They live in the "here and now" which makes them adaptable and spontaneous. They like to keep busy and are action-oriented. ISTPs thrive on new and exciting situations.

ESTJ - "The Overseer, Protector".
ESTJs are responsible, logical, norm-following hard workers. Their efforts are carried out in a practical, structured manner. ESTJs trust facts and experiences more than theories. They are decisive, loyal, tradition observing individuals. They enjoy being the person in charge and often make good supervisors.

Very accurate for me.

INFP is what it came up with. "The Dreamer"

INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

Normally it's INFJ "The Confidant"

INFJs, making up an estimated 1% of all people, are the most rare type (males even more so). They are introspective, caring, sensitive, gentle and complex people that strive for peace and derive satisfaction from helping others. INFJs are highly intuitive, empathetic and dedicated listeners. These traits tend to act as a "tell me what's wrong" sign on their forehead, hence the nicknames Confidant, Counselor or Empath. INFJs are intensely private and deeply committed to their beliefs.

I think it's a little of both.
