My youngest is now a high schooler!

Today was DD 14's last day of middle school. Next year begins a whole new chapter in her life -- high school!

Honestly, I don't know who's happier about it, her or me! Middle school is rough, especially at this one where the teachers are bigger bullies than the kids can be.

Yea! My youngest is going to be in 8th grade so I have one more yr.

It just does not seem like she is going to be ready for HS next yr....not possible!

Congrats! I just had my final stand outside preschool waiting for my baby to be dismissed. Next year, they are all in the same school for the first and only time. Then oldest DD heads to the dreaded middle school.

My oldest starts HS in the fall, and ds 12 will start JH. We lucked out, and she had a great time these past 2 years. Not all fared as well. Luckily, the group she hangs out with are a great group of nice girls, who participate in sports and/or choir, honors classes, no drama.

My daughter will also be starting HS in the fall. I think we should start an offiical HS thread..........I'm sure we will all have LOTS to be talking about!!

My 13 year old boy starts HS in the fall too. I am very apprehensive about this. He's still my little boy, but don't tell him I said that

I know! I remember posting 5 years ago when my DS was starting high school!

I'm facing two passages this week. My oldest graduated 8th grade yesterday and my youngest graduated 5th grade on Wednesday. Next year, we'll have one starting high school and one starting middle school. Makes me a little sad to think I'm no longer the mom of an elementary student!
