My wife is doing a really cool thing, and spontaneous!

My wife called me about 45 minutes ago and told me she's flying to Ireland. Chris, a friend of ours and a bridesmaid at our wedding, was supposed to go to Ireland with another friend of ours, but she backed out at the last minute leaving Chris freaking out, Chris is a little nervous flying to another country by herself. So Katie, my wife, asked if it would help if she went...and so she's going. She got a flight out of Boston's Logan for $600. Not bad considering how quick she's flying out. I think this is a totally cool thing that my wife is doing.

She leaves Sunday. Chris, the friend she's going with, leaves today. She wanted to leave today, but couldn't do it. She told me that ticket prices were running around $2000.

Thanks, I totally trust my wife to go and have a good time. These two need to have some good quality 'girl' time.

The only reason my wife is able to go at such short notice is that she's self-employed, and has nothing significant on her schedule, and we have no kids...unless you count our 2 y/o black lab.
