Arrival Day- August 20th

We flew from LGA to MCO on Delta yesterday. Since FL was experiencing Tropical Storm Fay I was wondering if the flights were still getting in on time. I found that out yesterday. Our flight left on time & it was a smooth flight. No turbulence at all. We got to the airport and found the Disney's Magical Express area & we took the bus to All Star Sports resort. We checked in & had dinner at the resort since it was too late to do anything & the weather was miserable. We are staying in the surfing section.

Day 1: August 21
Today we woke up and Fay is still here. She is sooo stubborn. We went to Downtown Disney today & saw two movies. We saw The Rocker with Rainn Wilson, Jason Sudiekis, Fred Armisen & Will Arnett. I thought this was a really good movie. The second movie we saw was Swing Vote starring Kevin Costner. I love Kevin Costner but this movie was bad, just like his Waterworld movie. After the movies we went to Earl Of Sandwich. I had the sandwich special which was BBQ Roastbeef. It was really tasty and good. We were so stuffed from eating, we went back to our resort & stayed there.

Day 2: August 22
We went to a movie again today. This time we saw House Bunny. From the parts I saw it was a funny movie. I fell asleep during most of it.

After the movie we decided to take the bus to Port Orleans to check out that resort since we are staying there next week. While waiting for that bus to come, Fay decided to dump all of her water on us big time. Luckly we had ponchos. We took the bus to Port Orleans & we got off before Riverside. We loved the place. Really cute & quiet. We then took the boat over to Riverside to see how easy it is to get to Boatwrights. It was quite easy. I didn't see any live alligators but I did see two bunnies.

After checking out Riverside we took the bus to Magic Kingdom since we had dinner reservations at Tony's Town Square. I love that place & I had the Shrimp Scampi. At first it was a little too garlicy but then it got much better. I would eat that again. We decided to stay in The Kingdom for awhile so Louis went to get his Guest Access Card to let us on to certain rides. We decided to stay for the Dreams Come True Parade. We were told that they would be coming back the same way too so you can see the other side of them. By the time they came back it was pouring again. The Characters in the parade were troopers. I bet they couldnt wait to take their costume off.

After the parade we decided to go back to our All Star Sports resort to get some ice cream & sodas. As we went to our room we ran into some spots that were flooded so we had to find other ways around it.

Day 3: August 23

We decided to go to EPCOT because we had dinner reservations at our favorite German restaurant, Biergarten in the evening.

The first thing we did was rent an ECV for me since there is a lot of walking involved. We didn't see everything this time anyway. After renting the ECV we went onto Spaceship Earth which only had a 5 minute wait. I love this ride because it shows you how things are developing from the past. You are even part of the show at the end. It's a lot of fun.

After Spaceship Earth, we went into Innoventions. I spotted a new Innovention to try. This one was weather related & I love anything that has to do with weather. This was a 4D show and at the beginning of it they have a pre-show with Jim Cantore. Louis couldn't stop laughing because you know everytime you see him on screen then you know you shouldnt be there. You were handed 3D glasses and were told to go into this room & sit through a thunderstorm. Then you had to answer questions on how to build a better house. It was an interesting thing.

After Innoventions we went to Mission: Space but didn't ride it. Instead we mailed postcards from Space. I had a lot of fun doing that but I only emailed three postcards out because I didn't want to take up too much time. I emailed one to Jim, Louis & my Dad.

We went over to Test Track but they told us it was down and to come back later. Later on I found out that it had a 60 minute wait so we decided not to test the track today. We even decided not to do Ellen's Universe of Energy because you can only sit & watch her do a game about Energy so many times before you go to sleep.

We went to the World Showcase because I wanted to see British Invasion & Off-Kilter. We saw Off-Kilter first & then the clouds started coming so we decided to leave Off-Kilter and find a dry spot before the downpour. I found one in the United Kingdom between the two stores. British Invasion didn't get to play this time.

After the downpour, we decided it was time to go to the American Pavilion to see Voices Of Liberty perform. Then we saw the show about America hosted by Benjamin Franklin & Mark Twain. It was very patriotic. After seeing the show we were on our way out and it was pouring again.

After it stopped raining we were on our way to Germany for our dinner reservations at Biergarten. It wasn't very crowded & the food was just as delicious as ever. I love that place even if you do hear the same music over again.

After we stuffed ourselves we decided to go back to United Kingdom to see British Invasion. We were told they didn't play the last two shows either because of the rain. This time they got a show in. After seeing them, we went to Canada to see Off-Kilter again. I would love to meet those guys one of these days. I wonder if they are wearing anything under their kilts since they like to jump around a lot. We actually got to see the whole show this time & then we went to United Kingdom to see British Invasion again.

After going back & forth like that, we went to find a spot of Illuminations. Since the whole park wasn't crowded all day, it was easy to ride the ECV & just as easy to find a spot. Illuminations started but since there was a tree in our view, we couldn't see the fireworks. This time they didnt even show the Earth. There was a lot of smoke from the fireworks that it started making my eyes burn a little. I guess we won't sit there again.

Day 4: August 24

We went to Animal Kingdom & our dinner reservations were at Fort Wilderness Campground in Trails End. I love their sweet tea & fried chicken.

The first thing we did was rent me an ECV but before we went in I saw the talking palm tree. He was cute & I hope to see him again next time I go to Animal Kingdom.

After we got the ECV we headed straight to Kilimanjaro Safaris. Its a safari that is different each time. I love this ride & this time was no exception. We got to see the Giraffes up close. Someday I hope to see it at the vehicle itself.

After that we went to Pangani Exploration Trail. It is a trail that only has a bunch of monkeys. It also has Meerkats. Always interesting to watch them. The huge Gorilla I saw was sleeping & it wasn't facing anyone.

Right next to Pangani is Rafiki's Planet Watch. It talks about recycling & the environment. I saw Rafiki, Pohahonta's & Jiminy Cricket doing autographs & pictures but I have already met them before. Instead I watched a wood rat have surgery. It was interesting to watch. After the surgery we decided to leave & I spotted the talking trash can again. We watched him for a little bit. The kids were getting a kick out of him. Someone put an empty bottle in the can & the can would burp. Funny stuff.

We took the train back to Asia & went to a bird show called Flights Of Wonder. It's also an interesting show. One of the birds flew right past me really close. This time they had two women do the narration. I happen to like them better. I wonder if anyone has been dumped on from the bird? So far I haven't & thank goodness.

At some point we went into the Maharajah Jungle Trek. I love being in this trail because they have bats & tigers. As you can tell I love both. The bats were sleeping upside down & once in awhile they would unfold a wing to try to get air. One of the Tigers kept walking around panting & he walked right by the window I looked in. It was pretty neat.

Somehow we found our way into Camp Minnie-Mickey & just happen to run into Pocohontas & her Forest Friends. I decided I should see it because they are closing it for good soon. It was OK.

Since we had some time left I decided to go into It's Tough To Be A Bug. It was nice & air conditioned inside. Once we put on our bug eyes, the 4D show started & Flick told us we were honerary bugs. The other bugs didn't like that one bit & they would try to hurt us. I'm starting to get used to this show but once we left the show I kept thinking I had bugs on me.

After we left Bug, we headed to the Exit but I had to turn in my ECV first. After that we took the bus to Fort Wilderness Campground & then we had to take their bus to the Settlement depot. We had dinner reservations at Trail's End. As I said before, I love their sweet tea & I got two glasses like the last time. I also love their fried chicken. Louis loved the food too so this restaurant will always be a must when we visit. After we ate we took the boat to Magic Kingdom & then we caught the All Star Sports bus.

Once we got to All Star Sports, we decided to walk around to take pictures of the different sport sections. We saw a rainbow so I took a few pictures of it. We decided to sit by the pool for awhile & I didn't get in the pool. However, it did look inviting but it had too many people in it.

Day 5: August 25

We had Breakfast reservations at a restaurant called Kona in the Polynesian Resort. I had Eggs Benedict & they were really good. I decided not to get Pineapple juice because I was thinking about getting it at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom. I never got one since we weren't in that area this time.

After Breakfast we took the Monorail back to Magic Kingdom. Once we got there I got my picture with Pinnochio & Geppeto. I told Pinnochio to behave himself & then I told Geppeto to make sure Pinnochio behaves himself. They played along.

After the picture we decided to go down Main Street U.S.A. and turn right which leads to Tomorrowland. The first thing we went to was Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. It was really funny as usual & I'm sure that one of these days either Louis or I will get put on the screen they have. I loved the A/C since it was really hot & humid.

After Monsters Inc, we made our way to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin. I forgot who got more points but since Louis does most of the shooting & I do most of the spinning, I will say it was him that got most points.

We went to Carousel Of Progress & It's still one of my favorites. It's Louis' favorites too. The song is even catchy. I'm waiting for them to get it updated again. I hope they never close this one.

We went on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. Louis went with me this time. Its just a really long, slow moving ride around Tomorrowland. It's really nice thing to ride it.

We decided to find our way out of Tomorrowland so we walked right into Mickey's Toontown Fair, but we stopped along the way to wave to the people on the Walt Disney World Railroad train going by.

We went inside Mickey's house. Who knew Mickey wore reading glasses!?!? Of course since he is a mouse he has a shopping list on his fridge which every item is cheese related. You go out in to his back yard & then it leads to his tent where you can meet him & Minnie. I told Mickey he has a nice house & I told Minnie I can't wait to see how she did on hers since it was closed the last time. Minnie kissed me on the cheek.

After visiting with Mickey, we went over to Minnie's house. They really re-did her place by putting a living room in and making the house snake around. You can play with her stuff in the kitchen. She has a lot of notes on her fridge & inside her fridge is what else...Cheese related items. Push a button on her microwave & it pops Popcorn. Turn a button on her stove & watch a cake grow. Go out to the back & she has a gazebo. I got my picture taken in the Gazebo.

We left Minnie's house & we headed for Fantasyland & I rode on the Mad Hatter which is the tea cup ride. Louis waited for me outside the exit. I spun myself around but once I started to get the hang of it, the ride stopped.

After the Tea ride I also went on Cinderella's Golden Carousel. I hate riding that thing because its too short & it's also hard to get off the horse especially if it stops at the top.

We walked right into Mickey's Philharmagic. That theatre really filled up. It felt really good to get sprayed on by the bucket of water.

I wanted to ride on it's a small world but as soon as we got to the loading place to get ready to load, something happened & they made everyone leave. We looked at the people down below to see what was going on. We asked one of the cast members & she said technical difficulties. I hope it works next time we go.

We headed to Liberty Square & we got on the Haunted Mansion. As soon as we stepped in to the Mansion, they had the A/C on full blast & it felt really good. This is another one of my favorite rides.

We got off the ride & headed for Liberty Bell Riverboat. It's a nice slow ride that goes around Tom Sawyer Island. It's sort of like Tomorrowland Transit Authority except on water. They should add some seats though.

I wanted to see the Country Bears so we walked over to Frontierland & went into Country Bear Jamboree. Another building with the A/C full blast. I could sit there all day. Country Bears is an animatronic show, not real bears.

We were a little hungry so we headed for the exit. I also saw some really dark clouds starting to form. As we headed out I spotted some characters. I got a picture with King John from Robin Hood. He was sweet. Another character I saw was a female chipmunk which I have never seen before. I went over & took a picture of her.

We exited the park & took the bus to The Beach & Yacht Clubs so we could eat at Beaches & Cream. It's a restaurant that looks like a soda fountain shop. Good hot dogs & good ice cream sodas. While we were eating it started to pour outside big time.

After we ate we walked to the lobby of the Yacht Club to go out & catch the bus since it was still raining & lightning. We took the Downtown Disney bus to Marketplace to catch the bus to our resort. We found out from the bus driver that the bus will no longer stop at Pleasure Island because they are fixing it up for a few weeks. If you want to go to Pleasure Island then you have to get off at Marketplace & walk all the way to Pleasure Island.

We caught our All Star Sports resort bus from Downtown Disney's Marketplace. After we got back to our resort we used our mugs to get some soda & took it back to our room.

Day 6: August 26

After eating our usual Breakfast at our All Star Sports resort we took the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios. We had dinner reservations at Cape May Cafe.

The weather was very hot & humid. I felt like I could die but to keep me from not dying, I stopped to rest a few minutes at a time in the shade or inside a building with the A/C blasting, drinking plenty of water & getting wet by the mists of a huge Coke bottle & some of the Catastrophe Canyon on the Studio's Backlot Tour.

We watched some nerdy guy with glasses sing his little heart out. He was really good and funny. Next time we see him we will play along & ask him how his audition went since he left for an audition by a woman who found out about him from her car. They were both funny.

We were headed for Animation Courtyard. We went into The Magic Of Disney Animation. I saw Wall-E in the place where Ratatoulle used to be. It was just a cardboard cutout of Wall-E. We asked about the real thing but they told us he is on tour right now. I got a picture anyway. After doing that, we went over to sit for a while & then when it was our turn to go inside another room to learn to draw. We learned how to draw Stitch. It was a lot of fun drawing like that.

We headed for Walt Disney: One Man's Dream which has a lot of artifacts about Walt & his dream. I can never stop watching this because he was a genius. After seeing this over a billion times I saw Pixar Place & I really wanted to go there but we ran into something else.

I got a picture with Prince Caspian from the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. He was very handsome to look at too. I got to put my arm around him & he held my hand. I went to find Louis & he was meeting Prince Caspian. They told me to go in & join him. The Prince was beaming when he saw me again. He probably does that to every girl. I told him as we were leaving that it was a pleasure meeting him again. As far as I know he is only temporary right now.

Now, it was time to go into a new attraction called Pixar Place. It looked like a nice place. In Pixar Place is the new ride called Toy Story Midway Mania. This is also an area where you can meet the stars of Toy Story. Even though there was a 70 minute wait & all of the Fast Passes were gone, the cast member still let us go in. I loved this ride. Its a little something like Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin but much better. This is in 4D, it spins you around really fast & you shoot at Targets with different shooters. I love this ride. I recommend it.

As we kept walking we ran into Streets Of America where the Giant Coke bottle is & it spritz you with water. I got spritzed. We went over to the Studio Backlot Tour. They did the pre show without any of the actors. I don't know why either. The cast members put us in the very back of the tram so when we got to Catastrophe Canyon I got a little wet since I moved over. Another one of my favorites.

This was our last ride of the day so we started to head for the exit but on the way I found some photo pass photographers. I got a picture of me inside San Fransisco & NYC. We also ran into the Block Party Bash.

Since it was so hot and humid I kept thinking about how the characters are in costume. Can you imagine what they would look like outside the costume dripping with sweat. I feel bad for the performers.

After watching the Bash we headed for the exit. We took the boat to the Yacht & Beach Clubs for our dining reservation at Cape May Cafe. The food was delicious especially the New England Clam Chowder. I had lots of clams in mine.

Now that we were full, we took the boat back to Hollywood Studios & took the bus back to our All Star Sports resort. After we got back to the resort we did the laundry. I was hot & the pool looked really tempting. However there were way too many people in the water.
