I finished these last night and thought I'd share my idea here in case anyone wants to do something similar. I'm carrying these to Disney to use to sit on for parades, Fantasmic, etc., so I didn't want to carry nice throws that might wind up stained and grungy. I bought plain 50 x 60 fleece throws for $3.00 each, got some iron on appliques, and a packet of star sequins. Total cost for each throw is about $5.00 and I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out! :goodvibes

These are adorable...please share where you got these...I could use 8 for my upcoming trip...lol. It is a surprise and I am making goody bags:)

Those are very cute. Did you iron on the stars too? Sorry i'm not very crafty.

You should post those over on the craft board too. They are really nice.

Wow. Those are VERY NICE!!!

You did a GREAT Job.

Thanks for sharing.

Those are really great. Maybe my kids would like to make some! Where did you find the throws? Great JOB and idea!

Thanks everyone, I'm glad y'all like them! They were fun to do and not hard at all. The biggest problem was deciding which appliques to get because Hobby Lobby had so many cute Disney ones to choose from. I got the star sequins there, also...50-cents for a pack of 100. They had other cute sequin designs and it was hard to choose which ones to get. You can get appliques and sequins at a lot of other stores but I just happened to be at Hobby Lobby and got mine there. I wanted to share my idea because I've gotten many helpful hints and suggestions from this board. :goodvibes

GREAT idea...where did you get the throws sooo cheap?

I found them at Family Dollar store and they had other colors than what I got but I can't remember what all they were. After I bought these, I saw some very similar at Big Lot's for $2.98. I haven't checked Dollar General but they might have them, too.

Thanks! No, there really isn't a way to iron on the stars. I had a tube of Liquid Stitch already here and that's what I used to adhere them to the fleece.

Thanks, kilee! I've never made it over there but I'll stop by and share my idea. I'm going to tell them you told me to! ;) :flower:

Those are awsome!

I want to make some for my crowd at the beginning of January. I would love to find throws that cheap.

I am going to have to start searching! :Pinkbounc
