We just got back from our week long trip and thought I would share my thoughts with you about the places we ate. Trying to save a bit of money we didn't plan a lot of sit down meals and I found out at the end of the trip that my son had wanted to do a character meal. I'm a little sad about the fact that meals have to be planned so far in advance, so you can't just suddenly decide where you want to eat according to where you are that day. I could not get the CB in Norway or lunch at CRT.

Boma - I loved it, the rest of my family was not into it. My older son was a bit more adventurous then the others and tried some of the meats and loved the tomato hummus spread. I tried almost everything on the buffet except the normal fruit and salad items or things I knew I wouldn't like. I thought it was funny to watch everyone rush for the Pap, white cornmeal, thinking it was mashed potatoes. Everyone in my family loved the zebra domes. It was expensive, but my husband and I had drinks too. This was our big meal of the trip.

WCC - We ate here several years ago for dinner and I did not like the skillet; This time we went for lunch and My son and I ordered it and I like it a lot more than I did before. Somehow though my family always gets the outer most table and the most boring waitstaff. The kids enjoyed the pony race though and the animal calls.

Sci Fi Cafe - this wins the prize as the best unexpected surprise dinner. I have always avoided this place because I had heard the food was pretty bad. But it was 5:00, we needed to eat and I thought, let's try it and see if we could get a table. Got seated faster than any other meal we had that week. We got a table set between car halves and I liked this much better than the car seat set up. I had a delicious soup and salad off the appetizers menu. My husband got the chili appetizer and we split the artichoke and spinach appetizer, which my husband gave two thumbs up. The waitresses were great, the kids got special glowing ice cubes. I regret not getting a shake. A piece of advice, bring a flashlight! It's hard to see.

Tusker house - great chicken salad, even though it was on the expensive side. At least it was healthy. My husband had the corn soup, which was really tasty and turkey wrap. Disappointing kids menu - my daughter ended up getting a bagel.

Allstar sports - what great dinners for a food court. The asiago pasta with chicken and spinach was so yummy, I had it two nights in a row. And I love the rice krispie mickey heads, I should have brought some home.

MK Mainstreet Bakery - I'm including this because I was surprised by the large offering they had, including quiche, and this really great French Toast Loaf I had. We waited in line forever, but it was nice eating outside by the castle.

Yacht Club Galley for breakfast - My husband loved this but I was not all the impressed by the buffet. The best part was the Cafe Mocha and the baked goods. It was interesting because we checked into the Beach Club and the desk lady made the PS for us from her terminal, and then we walked right over.

Beaches and Cream - well, now I can at least say I ate there. Too small. Put the arcade somewhere else and expand it. They squished the 5 of us around one of the small table. A booth opened up and I should have pushed for us to change to that. My husband did not like his hamburger and my prime rib sandwich was ok; small, but I split it with my second son. We did get the Kitchen Sink, on the Connections voucher, but did not get far into it. My husband thought the whole thing was kind of disgusting and did not touch it.

One last note, I did purchase four quick and casual vouchers and used them at Beaches and Cream, food court at All Star Sports, Liberty Inn, and Columbia House. I should have use one at Tusker house I think. I think they would be easier if only two people were using them, but I found it a hassle to try and figure out what I had to order to come out ahead, and then try to figure out what everyone else wanted. I don't think I would do it again.

I was not disappointed by anywhere we ate but I wasn't blown away by service either. The best service we found was on the way home at an Outback just off the highway. They had made my steak well done as opposed to medium as I wanted, and cooked me a whole new steak, without even bringing the first one out. The manager came over, and the waiter was extremely apoligetic, and kept asking me if my steak was the way I liked it. It was nice that the guy actually listened when I placed my order and followed through on it.

Thanks for listening!

Wow great info. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the reports!

We really liked Sci-Fi, too. We had avoided it for the same reasons as you. But, I am so glad we tried it!

Nice reviews. I agree about Beaches and Cream being too small. At one time, word had it that they were going to expand into the area that once was Ariel's.
But they obviously haven't and I've often wondered why not--.

Thanks for the reviews! I love those Mickey rice krispie heads with the ears dipped in chocolate! YUM YUM

Kimbra :)
