Here is the long awaited update! Im so sorry Ive been MIA, I felt horrible about it but just couldnt find the time.
When we left off, DBF and I were making a mad dash to Epcot for our 6pm San Angel Inn dinner ADRs. Well, we thought it would be a mad dash but we had more time then we thought so we had time to stop and check out the UK and Canada some more on our way over, and we still showed up 5 minutes early to the Mexico pavilion. We checked in and were sat almost immediately. We originally were going to wait for a table by the river, but changed our minds at the last minute because it was EMH at MK that night and we wanted to get no as many rides as possible, and wanted to leave ourselves plenty of time. So we got a cute little table for two off to the side under a little overhang. I chose the place for our Date night because it has a very romantic feel IMO, and we were not disappointed.
I got the Margarita San Angel, which was a little disappointing. I love me some margaritas, and I have to say our hotel bar at BW made them better. Oh well, it was still pretty tasty! DBF was excited that they had Dos Equis on the drink list because he loves it and we cant get it around where we live. We got the Sope Tradicional for an appetizer (Yay for still getting away with the 2007 dining plan rules, where apps were included!) , I cant really tell you what it was haha but I remember it being tasty. This was one of those meals where we realized how much Disney tries to rush you at TS meals; as soon as we put in an order for anything, the waiter seemed to immediately come back out with it. It was fine for us since we had a lot we wanted to get done that night, but I could see where otherwise that would be annoying.
For dinner, DBF had Filete Motuleno, which he raved about. Said it was the best steak hed had in awhile. And he is a food snob so that is saying a lot. I had the Plato Mexicano, which I had decided on months in advance thanks to the wonderful menus on All Ears, and the enchilada was especially good. We tried bread pudding for dessert, which neither of us had ever had before. All in all it was really good food and I think wed definitely go back there again.
After another round of drinks, we headed off to the front of the park. We tried to do TT, which we still hadnt gotten on yet this trip, but the line was still 90 minutes so we said forget it. We passed SE and saw that they were doing another soft opening, so we jumped on and enjoyed the renovation one more time. We bumped into my sister and Dbil at the exit of the ride. They had just hopped over to do some rides after their date at Mama Melroses. After a quick chat with them, we headed to the monorail. DBF had never sat up front, so I decided it was something cute we could do on our date. We only had to wait for the next one, because it wasnt very crowded. We were seated with a teenage girl, maybe 14 and her mom. The girl immediately said to us Congratulations on your wedding!. This was quite hilarious for us. Her mother yelled at her when we explained that we werent married yet, and the girl apologized and said that she just assumed because all the young couples down at Disney seemed to be newlyweds. I kept thinking, I hope that is me in a couple of years! If all goes as planned, the summer after next Ill be there in my bridal ears
After that funny encountered, we hopped off at the Poly. I really wanted him to see it because that is where I am hoping to stay on the aforementioned honeymoon! Hee hee, I felt very sneaky doing this as I didnt tell DBF of my intentions until after, but nonetheless my plan worked because he said he loved the hotel and would love to honeymoon there. Woo hoo!

We tried to take the boat over to MK, which is my favorite mode of transportation on property because its very private and romantic, but it had closed for the night so we just hopped over on the monorail again.
There was a very short line at the turnstile, which was encouraging. We didnt wait long for EMH wristbands either, so we stayed and chatted with the CM who was giving them out for a few because he was there doing the college program from CCSU, the same college my sister attends (she also is trying for CP next year). Us New Englanders love us some Disney! Everywhere we went this trip we bumped into CT people, what a small world! (no pun intended!)
We started off hanging by the castle because DBF wanted to get some shots of the icicle lights. Some turned into like 100, but I was patient and told myself he doesnt get to do this every year like I do, so I let him take his time before I dragged him off to take advantage of short wait times on rides. We did the Magic Carpets of Aladdin first. I must warn you all about the handicapped carpet: we were sat there and the handle that makes you go up and down was broken and the sharp metal tore my leg up really badly as I was getting into the carpet! At first I tried to suck it up and enjoy the ride, but I was wincing in pain as we walked out so I went into the ladys room to take a look under my leggings. I had a huge gash, but being the commando, I didnt want to miss rides to go to first aid. I probably should have seeing as the cut left a big scar on my left. At least I have a fun story to go along with it!
After cleaning up the leg, we took some pictures of the now dry Splash Mountain. So weird looking! If you are wondering why we kept stopping to take pics and there are none in this installment
well as he was taking the SM pics, DBF realized that his camera was acting funny. Turns out that all of his pictures from the day had been accidentally erased! The memory card freaked out on him and every time he turned the camera on, about 50 shots were erased. It was very weird and we were both upset because wed taken the time to get such great pictures. Ugh, camera drama number three!

Seriously, what was the deal?! But we knew that my dad had lots of great shots of the same thing so it was no use letting it ruin our night. So off we went to Fantasyland to cheer ourselves up! (not after a quick stop to ride HM again, because we love the renovations so much).
We did Snow White because DBF never had. We had fun goofing off because the ride kept breaking and DBF pretended to be really scared by it which made me crack up. I think the non-English speaking Asian family riding along with us thought we were the weirdest people ever. Then we went to Tomorrowland so I could attempt to beat his score on Buzz Lightyear. No dice though, oh well when we go back in January I can try again!
After hitting up all of these rides in about 2 ours, we decided to spend the last hour shopping. I was finding souvenirs for various people back home in the Emporium when all of the sudden I heard the Kiss Goodnight starting! Id read about this on the boards and had always wanted to see it, so I dashed out of the store and into the street. Poor DBF had no idea where I was going or what was happening, so he ran out after me thinking I was crazy. I kept shushing him when he asked what was going on so I could hear it. And it was every bit as magical as Id hoped
the next day was our last full day so I got all teary eyed and DBF put his arms around me as we watched. It was basically one of those If I could only live here moments that I replay over and over in my head. Well, until I looked down and saw that DBF was still holding merchandise from the store that we had yet to pay for. Oops! In the chaos we were accidental shoplifters so we sprinted back into the store to finish up and pay, romantic moment all over! I still tease him about the day he stole stuff in Disney World.
That about summed up the night. We limped back to the bus stop because our feet were quite sore, and luckily didnt have to wait long for one to come. It was back to the hotel and right to bed for us, because wed be up early for another day at the MK in the morning! Stay tuned for more, and I promise I wont go long without an update this time!
Also, I will add photos to this asap!
