We wook a trip to Vegas (our first time) before we go to the World in January.
Thought I would share!!

I love the Mirage but wont stay there during all of their construction to bring the hotel back up to "current".

The absolute BEST bar in town (the Baccarat Bar) is now gone! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Who knows what going to replace it.

Did you guys walk down to Wynn Hotel?

Vegas rules. I'm down there 7 or 8 times per year and was just there at Caesars the week before I came down here (Orlando). The new tower at Caesars has flat screen LCD's in the main room and the bathroom. It's very elegant.

Yes, Ceasars was incredible!!! The Mirage was an excellent deal, and we didn't notice the construction at all. Yes, we went to the Wynn, it was nice, but Ceasars is by far my favorite. I loved it.

Thanks for the pics! It gets me more excited for our trip in 2 weeks! Haven't been to Vegas in about 15 years and I'm sure it's changed a LOT since then. Did you see any shows? We're trying to decide if we should see one of the Cirque shows, or something else. Staying at Paris...hope it's nice!

Okay, we saw one show.... La Femme, basically it was topless cabaret. It was fun and only something I would do in Vegas. We decided on that one at the half price ticket place downstairs from MGM. They had TONS of shows and it was like the two of us going for the price of one. We went for $65 a couple.

My favorite thing was one day we walked all the way up and down the strip...starting mid strip at the Mirage and going all the way down to MGM and back. We would shop, play at the different casinos, and just absorb Vegas. My favorites were Walking thru the shops at Ceasars, and watching their shows that involve the statues. WOW< amazing!! We played craps at the Monte Carlo for 2 hours at 11am, for $2 MIN as they have a class going on. What fun for $20!!! New York is maybe one of my favorite hotels. Wonderful pizza, the piano bar was a hoot and we won the most there.

Thanks for the info! We'll definitely see one of the shows and one like La Femme might be good...one of those 'only in Vegas' things. I can't wait to explore the Strip....and maybe get lucky at the blackjack tables.
