I do have to agree with other poster's that said things could have been handled differantly. If I had a little girl and chip or anyone one for that matter gave her a squeeze I think I would be a little bent! Really all that was needed was an apology and an explanation that it is hard for the character's to see with the big bulky costume's. We just felt "He"!?! Was beign a little fresh and maybe something he did with adult visitor's? We just laughed It was not like he knocked me down and jumped on me!

I can't even believe this is an issue. I find it hard to believe that something that inappropriate was done on purpose or to offend you. The characters are known for being mischevious-- but that's what makes them endearing!! My gosh-- I have a very blatant picture from one of our recent trips. You wanna know what Sully's big hand is completely covering most of my behind!! Everytime we look at the pictures my DH laughs that he (or I guess she) was getting a "free feel". Maybe I should get a lawyer because I think I was the target of sexual harrassment. I can't even believe you called the police. Next thing you know we are going to be seeing Chip in mugshots !!!

Gosh, I don't know. The living statue in Italy wouldn't let me go tonight until I gave "it" a kiss. Do I have some legal recourse?

My sister and I were in Epcot having our picture taken with a character from the character bus(I cant even remember now which character)
The character had his arm around my sister and his/ or her hand was clearly right on my sisters..umm... chest area.
We didnt scream "lawsuit", we have the picture and still laugh about it!
Clearly, with my sister it was an accident- there is limited vision in those costumes! Im sure this was an accident too.

I've read through the thread and I wasn't going to comment, but now I think I will.

I can not believe people are flaming this woman. She obviously felt that she was touched inappropriately. That is why she is pursuing it. This is her own personal choice. I understand these are public boards, but cut her some slack. I think she posted this story to show other people how it might not be innocent touching. I also believe she posted this to show how Disney handles situations such as these. JMHO.

If disney investigates it and they handle it, what is wrong with that. She said a cm witnessed "IT" and if that cm thought it was wrong i'm sure appropraite steps would be taken. JMHO.

It was her personal choice to post it. Obviously she thought she was touched inapproriately, but, face it, how much of a "thrill" can an inappropriate touch be for someone with thick gloves?

If not...this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. Sounds to me like someone needs to go to Six Flags where it's SAFE..... I highly doubt you were gropped by a character. It's called character interaction......imagine your self in one of those huge costumes and try to move as you do without one on. I really hope you don't try and prosecute some kid trying to make a few bucks at Disney because you think you were gropped........

Hmmmm....don't think I will add any comments about the OP, just mention an experience of my own.

About 3 years ago I was having dinner at the Garden Grill with my mother. Chip and Dale had come over and were "playing" with us. Chip (or was it Dale??) had me stand up so my mother could take a picture of us, and gave me a playful little pat on the bottom and motioned that I should kiss him on the cheek before he would let me go. It was all completely in fun and NOT innappropriate in the least. It is one of my favorite character photos that I have.

I would hate to see Disney changing its policy so that the characters were no longer allowed to have physical contact with any of the guests.

Chip and Dale are my favorite characters. Why? Because they are always having fun. Chip has tried to steal me from my husband before and run off with me. OH MY...KIDNAPPING. I should have called security. Here I thought we were just having a good time. Silly me.

All I can figure is that the OP in the past had a traumatic experience and this brought back some of those old feelings.

I could be wrong here, but it seriously sounds like you ARE after some sort of financial reimbursement. The characters are in so many layers and their eyesight is so limited, there is probably no way for a character to truly know what part of someone's body they are touching. If someone had touched me in a way that I felt was inappropriate, I sure as heck would not be standing there allowing a photo to be taken. The offending party would of been laying flat on the pavement in no time flat!

Before we know it, we'll have to sign a waiver to allow any interaction between the characters and ourselves or our kids! We'll have to walk up to them and simply shake hands!

Get over it. Chalk it up as an accident and get on with your life. Sounds like you are being a tad too paranoid!
