....has booked (with a large amount of help from me) to take his gaughter to WDW in October. I have helped him book 10 days at ASSp, tix for Universal and Kennedy, I have lent him the dining guide and am just about to help him book his TS meals.
A couple of days ago he was telling me about this great app for his I-pad which shows you inside the parks-it has lots of little bits about the rides and restaurants and he's really enjoyed looking at it and helping him plan. Today ther muppet (And this is an insult to kermit & Co) bought his I-pad in to show me. First thing he shows me is a great view of New Orleans Square, then Indian Jones ride, mattherhorn bobsleds...you get the picture:rolleyes1. I pointed out "This is Disneyland" to which he replied "Well where am i going then?" :confused3

Does anyone know of a similair good app for WDW?

ok so i have got:

DisneyMaps
WDW Maps
WDW Wait times
and about 5 others on my phone
if he go on to itunes and types "walt disney world" or "Disney World" Or WDW

He will see loads including one with menus for all the DW restrants and all work on the Iphone if he was to want to use it in the parks.. Bet after his 1st Trip he wont get them confused again lol

It's actually a very common point of confusion, bless him.

Your post made me laugh though. I hope that he doesn't suddenly discover the DIS tonight while you're sleeping and find your post on here :lmao:

Couldn't you get a new boss instead of a new App? :)

I have posted this before but when we were planning a trip to Cali & Disneyland I called in a Travelagents to pick up some brochures, I asked for any they had on Disneyland, she brought me brochures on Disneyworld & Florida. I explained I meant the original park in Anaheim, CA. She said "I didn't know there was more than one":confused3

Wayne! :lmao: New boss, lol!!

I do expect more from a Travel Agent! I mean really! :confused3 Yet again, the scariest part of my statement is that it just doesn't shock me.

I know my parents took a few years to get round to the idea that Disney World and Disneyland are not the same ......

My then 6 year old set them straight though. Every time one of them mentioned Disneyland, without even looking up, she would roll her eyes and say "World. That would be World Granny. Not Land ..."

Perhaps we need to dispatch a few DISboarders' 6 year olds into a few travel agents for some training :rotfl:

Where is this Disney World of which you all speak?

I'm quite blessed in work - one of my colleagues spent a few years out in the US and 'gets' it. :wizard:

We both have a laugh confusing our other colleagues with conversations about rides in land, world and paris, it shouldn't be funny but it just is! :rotfl:

It must be us Disney nuts pet hate!

I hate when people say to me "Are you going to Disneyland in America again?"

No I am not I am going to Walt Disney World

Thanks for the advice about the apps-I have to say if he had been going to DL it would have been a great one to use...
Me and DH are really trying NOT to bombard him with advice but sometimes I wonder if what I am doing is falling on stony ground:sad2:

On a positive note he sounds keen and like he is taking your advice to plan on board.

Just delete this post before you recommend the DIS to him :rotfl2:

Those were my first thoughts: What will it be? Pay rise? Or P45? :lmao:

Let's not forget those that say "I'm going to Disney *** can't wait to see Harry Potter". I've had the Universal is a different park chat with my mother soooo many times

Luckily he has no hiring and firing powers:thumbsup2 Anyway I've called him much worse in the past-I have told him what I have put on here and he just grinned.

Thanks for all the help everyone, medals for bravery all round:grouphug:

I know most people couldn't care less but to fans like 'us' it's hard to comprehend how people can confuse the parks and resorts lol! It's a massive pet peeve of mine. I saw someone's Facebook status once "really wanna go to Disneyland Florida!" that made me wince! Haha. Even "Harry potter world" drives me mad.
