My tv just changed to Spanish!!!

Okay, I have a cable box on all my tv's. The one in my bedroom seems to be possessed though. Last week, when I was watching Dancing with the Stars, the vocals just changed over to Spanish!!! And some huge static sounds. No other tv's did this. I figure it's a one time thing. So, last night, it happens again...as soon as Dancing.. comes on, the language changes. So...I go down the hall, and watch in the guestroom. My dh comes upstairs, turns on the tv in our bedroom, and not only is ABC in Spanish, if he changes it to CBS...he's getting play by play, so to speak, as if he were vision impaired!!! Guess I'll be calling cable company today, but have any of you ever heard of such a thing?? It's just too weird.

Ahh, so ET is trying to phone home??!!! Bad, very bad!!! And 4 yrs of Spanish and I can only get every third word or so....looks like I should have studied harder.
Just called the cable people. They told me to enable SAP...whatever that is..it was disabled somehow. I like the aliens better!!!

Current broadcasting standards in the US including something called Second Audio Program (SAP). For many shows, this is used to broadcast a Spanish version of a show's audio - but it can be used for just about anything. You've accidently selected the SAP option for that TV or cable box. It should be very easy to go into the menu and switch it back.

Seriously, this is a easy fix. Somehow the SAP audio channel was selected and it can be changed back. Seach the remote real well or find the book that came with the TV.
