So I haven't bought a ticket in years and my Aunt and Grandmother want to go to DL tomorrow and I had a few questions for all of you

1) Do the tickets you buy at local Vons stores need to be exchanged at the ticket window for "real" tickets? If yes what is the benefit of buying those?

2) Can you use both two-fers on one day to get into both parks?

Thanks so muh guys!

1) The tickets you get at Vons are the hard plastic cards. You can take these directly to the turnstiles. No need for a ticket booth.

2) No, you MUST use the two-fer on two separate days. One day at DL and the next time at DCA.

Edited to add: I just got this off mousesavers:

Upgrade your 2fer Ticket! For $25 more, you can upgrade your 2fer ticket to a 2-Day Park Hopper. Visit both parks on the same day for two days. Ticket rules are otherwise the same as for the 2fer Ticket. You can purchase the upgraded version for $91 (adults) or $81 (kids) at Disneyland.com. If you've already purchased the regular 2fer and want to upgrade, take your 2fer Ticket to a ticket window at the park.

If you try, they might have a 2 day hopper for the price of one. I recently got that via our own CM store.
