Dr. Mr Foreign bidder;

If you had taken the time to actually read my auction, you would have noticed that it clearly stated that I ship to the United States only. I am not a post office. I do not have one of their fancy schmancy scales to weigh stuff. In fact, I live quite far from the post office. So, to answer your question of "can you ship brazil?" NO, I cannot "ship Brazil" and no, I do not know how much it would cost. I assume you are meaning to ask me how much it would cost to send this item TO Brazil, but as I only ship to the United States, I am not going to waste my very precious time by driving the twenty minutes to the post office, asking them how much it would cost in a gereral form to send this item to Brazil, because I have no idea where in Brazil you live, only to quote you, have you NOT bid, and have the item won by a really nice lady in Ohio to whom I could easily ship to for the price already quoted in the auction.

So, in closing, thank you, etc etc...

Melissa

You can block bidders outside the US. When I sold on ebay I used to have the same issues until I blocked them.

You can always do a 2nd chance offer to the other bidder from Ohio.

Good luck!

I have the same problem with my auctions even though it clearly states USA only.

I will have to look into the blocking foreign bidders feature.

I tend to get these too..I offe rto ship some places overseas but still get emails from folks in Israel, Australia, etc. I don't like to sell overseas too much since for most sales I just print postage from PayPal and can bypass the post office. Still, I've had some nice sales from overseas. What I do is weigh the packaged item (I have a great little postal scale I bought from Walmart for $20.00.. it only goes up to 3 pounds but that works for 90% of my stuff), then look up the country at USPS.com to get what it would cost. I then charge a bit more to cover having to pay PayPal fees on that big payment for postage. So far my overseas people have been very nice (not the like the US guy who slapped a negative on me and filed a dispute..my first in 10 years..after I had responded to his email in 1 day and offered a refund...)

You could use the USPS flat rate boxes and ask the buyer to pay the extra shipping. If you can fit the item into the flat USPS envelope, your mail person can take it for you and you can print postage from usps.com. Since it's a flat rate, no need to weigh. Also, you can order the flat rate boxes and envelopes free of charge fright from usps.com...they'll send them right to your house. Good Luck!

I do the same thing, except I guesstimate the weight by weighing myself on my bathroom scale, then weighing myself again holding the package. I know, not the most accurate way to do things but I don't sell often enough to justify buying a postal scale. I always round up on the weight and then add a couple dollars handling, and no one has complained about my shipping charges yet. If an overseas buyer is willing to pay the shipping cost I quote them then I'm more than happy to sell to them. I work 1 block from a post office so I usually go there to ship things anyway, unless I'm using Priority Mail flat rate packaging. I like to make sure the postage is correct and that I don't pay any more than I have to.

Just charge him a service fee of $25 plus actual shipping - honestly Brazil is the same as Nigeria on Ebay now, it is nostly scams. Check out other international sellers and you can see a lot of them say they do not ship to Brazil or Nigeria.

But you could ship to Canada, right ;)
