I will have to agree with the OP. My last visit there was just unbelievable.
First of all, the resorts. They just don't have the magic. I stayed at that Italian thing. I can't believe the Travel Channel voted it the best hotel in Orlando. No theming, no magic. They actually had the audacity to reward me for staying at their hotels previously by automatically upgrading us to a suite. Can you believe it? What nerve!

WDW

would never, ever do anything like that! Guaranteed upgrades, sheesh.
Then the parking. Can you believe they made me pay for parking? Although I always use Valet at

WDW

, I have NEVER had to pay for parking!
The guests. I saw a couple of "muffin" tops. If that is the kind of guest you find at Universal, count me out. At the

magic place

, everybody is fit and trim and would never show skin. And then, to top it off, a young teen in a bikini top was coming off some rafty water ride. You never see bathing suits at that

most magical place

!
And the behavior. Teens were in groups - with MATCHING shirts. They moved in swarms. It was horrible and intimidating. And they were speaking a foreing language. They must have been gangstas. And I even saw somebody smoking! Nope, Give me those happy familys who pick zits on each other's backs in line or hit me behind the knees with their strollers. THAT is what a family friendly atmosphere is all about.
And I won't even go to parks having Spongebob. Everybody knows he is...well, never mind. I am not a bigot. But I did have to keep my children away. But I am not a bigot.
And the Grinch. How could they support that movie. He was Naked in the movie. But I am not a bigot.
I allocated two whole days at Universal, but after seeing all this, I turned around and.....
renewed my annual pass
