Very successful trip.
The only rain that I encountered was on my way to the airport. With the rain and fog it delayed the flight by an hour. Met Sractch42 (Janet) and her daughter at the airport (they were on the same flight). They offered to drop me off at my resort in their rental SUV (Thanks again Janet) instead of using Mears. We arrived safely at Pop Century after a brief detour in the Epcot parking lot. The check in line was small. My requested room was not ready yet but was offered a different room or wait. I waited for my request. Dropped off my luggage and explored the resort. Janet had noted that all of the decade signs were removed from the front of resort. I ended up with a first floor room building #1 in the 50s section. The suitcases and myself arrived at room about the same time.
I had PS for dinner at the Whispering Canyon. I had a good time there but I still like 50s Prime Time Diner (had dinner their Sunday).
As part of my package I had UPH tickets and took full advantage of them. On arrival day after diner at Whispering Canyon ending up going to MK to see Wishes and Spectomagic; without wasting a day if I had regular park hoppers. Ended up going to Downtown Disney three times during the week.
I had no problem with Disney Transit all week. The longest I waited for a bus was less than 15 minutes (even leaving Downtown Disney around 1 AM) On a couple of occasions I waited in the park shops after the park closed for the crowds to thin out before I got to the bus stop. I made one bad judgment call going from Typhoon Lagoon to Epcot. Instead of taking the bus back to my resort I chose to take the Beaches bus and walk to the International Gateway. There were 2 buses that left for Pop before the Beaches bus showed up and once the bus left it stopped at the Dolphin, Swan before arriving at the resort..
Venturing down to Downtown Disney on Halloween night and had a good time. There were many people down there in costumes. Spent most of the night in the Adventurers Club. The characters were in costume as well (the French maid was a bee). They had a special Halloween show as well.
Went on Mission Space at Epcot and enjoyed it. There was no wait time at all. Did not encounter any motion sickness during or after the ride.
I think because of the displayed Mickey head I bumped into a few DISers on the buses, waiting for parades and at the Adventurers Club. Unfortunately do not remember names (note to self to bring pen and paper next trip). Went to the DIS meet at Epcot that Disneysteve had organized. Spent about a half hour chatting before moving on.
I went on the Keys to the Kingdom tour on Friday morning. Very informative tour and did not ruin too much of the magic.
Had no problems with Mears to the airport other than the pick up time was way to early. We had a 10 passenger van pick us up so we had no addition hotel pickups. I had over two hours to kill after clearing security.
No problem clearing Canadian customs (smallest lines I have ever encountered). Once I got back to the car wonder what took so long but then realized my car clock was still on daylight saving time
