Hello.......just returned from 6 days at Disney.

We used the Disney Express. What can I say WONDERFUL! :cool1: Coming and going! Great bus drivers!!!!! I do wish I had picked up my own luggaged. We arrived in our room at 10pm. Our luggage arrived in our room at 2:45 am. Woke up everyone in our room including our "neighbors". He was very loud knocking hard on the door and yelling luggage. Everyone around us was discussing this the next day.

The parks were supper busy and we were rained on every day. We didn't get in half what we wanted too but that was expected. Except Magic Kingdom. There was a very large tour group there from Brazil. They fastpassed in front of us three or four times. They were letting them fast pass because they were such a large group and couldn't possibly get 60 fastpasses. The cms had been letting them go on without them. That explained why the fastpasses we had were off. We had been told that but I didn't believe it until I saw it for myself. Then we were loading the bus back to our resort and the tour somehow managed to end up on the bus before those standing in line on two occasions.

The busses are great. Other than the line jumping it was wonderful. The bus drivers were all super nice and friendly. We waited at one waterpark for 1hr for a bus. We waited at our hotel for 30min for the Epcot bus. Other than that our lines were very short.

Did the Grand Gathering Safari. The best thing on our trip! LOVED it! :grouphug:

Oh yes, we stayed at Movies. The room was clean when we arrived. Left housekeeping a note (w/$5 tip) and asked for some extra towels on day one. That evening we had two towels and two wash clothes. So I picked up some from the front desk. The next day I left another tip and asked for towels. Again two towels, two wash clothes, no soap. She tossed our soap and didn't leave extra. So day three I put in the do not disturb sign. She cleaned our room again and took the extra towels I snagged from another housekeeper. So I saw her and asked if I could have some towels. She said no english. So I asked her in Spanish. She said "no speak spanish." Since I couldn't communicate with her I had to get my towels, trash bags and soap every day at the desk. I finally just hid them in drawer to keep her from taking them. We came back one day to find her sitting in our room watching tv. She cleaned our rooms around 3:30 every day. About the time everyone was ready for a break. BTW, the front desk thought it was funny. I guess I didn't complain to them so they were amuzed.

My kids were somewhat disappointed. Every room on the other floors had towel animals and crazy window things going on. All throughout the whole complex. I could have just cried because I was so tired. Never knowing what was not going to be in that room. I finally stopped tipping her on day four. Not because of the kid thing. I have never done this but since I was the one hiking to the front desk everyday, well you get the picture. Oh and yes it was either hike or get them off the cart. We tried to call and they thought it was funny too.

Everyone at the resort was very nice. All CM's were very nice and helpful. We encountered only 3 cm's who were being jerky. That's not bad considering all the CM's we encountered on our trip!

I do have bruises all over the back of my legs from a stroller incident. There was a large group of people who stopped in front of us on Main Street and we had to stop. No way to get around them (parade time). It took about 30 seconds and then wham. Knocked me off my feet and straight into the group of people who stopped. The man then said I shouldn't have just stopped in the middle of the road. :sad2:

We did Whispering Canyon. LOVED IT! :woohoo: It was a blast! Esp when a member of our group had out there cell phone looking at a text message. Our server asked for everyone's attention. Then he asked them to keep it down cause she was on the phone. Total humilation! It was great!

Great trip but I definaly won't be staying Value again.

thanks so much for your report. We have stayed at all the different types of resorts and we have loved them all. each one had a different appeal to them. Thanks again for your report

Was the Brazialian tour group dressed alike the entire time, every time you saw them? We saw a group like that when we went last summer.

We're staying at the Movies next month when we go at the end of August. Thanks for sharing!

They were dressed alike. There was two different groups at our hotel.
One was very loud esp at midnight! But that's teenagers anywhere! Their guide would disappear at night and they ran all over the place at all hours. At one point they were running up and down the floors knocking on doors at 1 am after the pools closed. That went on for three nights straight. Then one night they started flashing each other at the pool. That's real nice with kids around. :sad2:

Pretty cool looking hotel though. :goodvibes

libbylou: I share your pain about the large teenage "unsupervised" groups at ASMo. We've lucked out in that they must be in the other building of Mighty Ducks or Dalmations. When we've returned from the parks after midnight, they are all over the grounds smoking, and won't even move out of the way if they're blocking the path. Rude, that's what it is. :confused3 Their "chaperones" seem to conveniently disappear. :stir: so the mice can play. Last trip a large Brazilian group was line jumping at Star Tours. That didn't last long as several of us complained as a group. Sticking up for what is right does work. :woohoo:

Glad to hear (not glad it happened to you) that we were not the only one. One of the members of our party did tell the security guard about them running up and down knocking on doors....of course the flashing. His response was they didn't speak English or Spanish so he couldn't communicate with them w/o their guide. I'm pretty disappointed with the whole Disney experience right now.

My daughter and I also just got back from staying at ASMo and stayed in the Toy Story building near the tour group you mentioned. I called the front desk two different nights at 2:00am to complain about the noise. Thankfully, my dd slept through most of it. They seemed pretty rude in general, barging in front of people without ever apologizing, especiallly at the beverage station. We had a fun trip anyway! :yay:

Wow, that FastPass letting the whole group go-doesn't sound fair.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

I am sorry, but I laughed so hard at your post that I cried! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I know that story about the mousekeeper was not funny at the time, when you are hot, tired and want your soap and towels. But . . . think about the fun y'all are going to have telling that story every year at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

I can't believe you even tried to speak Spanish to her! And to catch her watching her soaps in your room while your were out . .. priceless!

And you are a hoot, 'well I finally stopped tipping her on the fourth day . . .' :rotfl2: OMG

If you had a WONDERFUL time this trip, can you imagine how much fun it would be to stay in a relaxing resort where they supplied towels AND soap and people didn't mow you down on Main Street with their stroller!?!

Thanks for seeing the humor in my trip. It is always like this when our family/extended family travels. Always! :lmao:

Mousekeeping has been the topic of the whole trip. My family kept telling me to stop tipping. It was a bad assumption on my part about the Spanish thing. First time that hasn't come in handy for me. I forgot to add I showed her the towels she would smile and shake her head yes. :confused3 I'm sure it's a hard and thankless job. I was really trying to be very nice about it but in the end it was easier to go find the towels.

Yes, Disney had it out for me but I fooled them! Not even getting plowed down on Main Street stopped me from having fun. Even though I am still getting teased about the stroller incident from the family. :grouphug:

Ariel77 - Those kids were doing lots of things on our end of the place. They were very loud. At least your daughter managed to sleep through the noise. I still wonder how they found the energy to stay up late and hit the parks early the next day. :confused3
