I'm new here but now so addicted to Disney World! I did a photo story of my son's first visit to Disney and I'll paste my word document of our trip here as well:
It seems that I cannot post a link since I do not have many posts here but if anyone is interested it is at myspace and at the http to the front.

Here is the trip report:
Day One
Travel Day Chef Mickey’s and Magic Kingdom

Our flight departed at 10:30am. We arrived 35 minutes earlier than scheduled! We rented a car so we had to go to Alamo for pick up….then off to a grocery store for some breakfast foods, drinks and light snacks (which we didn’t even need being on the meal plan).

We arrived at the Caribbean Beach Resort and our room was ready for us! We were in Jamaica Building 43 with a second floor room. It wasn’t fun carrying the luggage up the stairs but we managed. My son found a small mouse made out of a towel and he really started to get excited! We unpacked and headed out for the Contemporary Hotel for our dinner reservations at Chef Mickey’s!

My son, Jonathan (age 7) has multiple food allergies (milk, all fish, and peanuts, tree nuts). We were seated within 10 minutes and a chef came to the table and took me to the buffet to let me know what was safe and what was not safe for him. They even had special desserts for him! He was doing happy dances all throughout the trip at meal times because he has NEVER been able to order out desserts due to the milk allergy. One night he even hugged a chef (at Shutters at our hotel). We had just missed Mickey and Minnie at our table and Pluto was his first character visit followed by Goofy and Donald. Mickey and Minnie never did make it back to the table so we asked an employee if he could get a photo since we missed them and they took care of us! Jonathan left his autograph book back in the room so he missed out on this one! They had peel and eat shrimp, prime rib and sliced pork on this buffet. The ice cream bar was excellent and they made Mickey Mouse cookies out of Oreos and chocolate covered marshmallows!

After dinner we took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. My son’s first ride was “It’s A Small World”. Then we walked over to the 3-D movie staring Mickey. I spent most of the show watching Jonathan try and grab the objects that were flying out of the screen. Midway through the show he takes off his glasses and sits there for a few minutes. Next he tells me that his belly hurts. I figured it was from the meal so we better exit just incase. Dennis had to carry him half way out of the park because he was also a bit dizzy. We haven’t quite figured out why he gets dizzy quite often but Jonathan has had dizzy spells and motion sickness for most of his life. This ruined my chances of seeing any other 3-D movies since it made him sick. By the time we got back to the room he used the bathroom and felt much better. The same thing happened to him on the second night as well with the same belly ache….went away after the third day finally! I guess he needed to adjust to everything….the water in Florida sure is different than our water!

Day 2
Animal Kingdom

We arrived at the Animal Kingdom for our 7:50am breakfast at Restaurantosaurus - Character Dining and we were give buttons for Jonathan’s first visit and our 10th anniversary! They do take you picture before you go in and then ask you for $38 for the package! I gave my camera to the photographer and he took a nice one for us for nothing! They also do this photo at Chef Mickey’s. The chef came to our table immediately and my son was treated to two “dippy” eggs with dry toast. He also ate two bowls of cereal! They had Krispie Kreme Donuts on the bar! I loved the cinnamon French toast!

We fast passed the Safari and went and did Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and Rafiki's Planet Watch. By the time we explored for a bit it was time for our fast pass. Jonathan loved the Safari. We did get to see all the animals and they were all having breakfast too! We did a few more walk through exhibits and then went to lunch at Restaurantosaurus. The burgers were good and the fixings’ bar was excellent! They even had grilled mushrooms and onions for your burgers! After our lunch Jonathan and I took the bus back to the hotel for a swim and to cool off. Dennis stayed behind to ride Expedition Everest and the Dinosaur ride. Our dinner tonight was at the Rainforest Café which was not on the meal plan. Jonathan had dinosaur shaped (dairy free) chicken nuggets with fries! They did not offer him any dessert and they also brought out a sundae for our anniversary which made Jonathan upset. I was so stuffed from the big breakfast and burger lunch that I only ordered a chicken strip appetizer. It was enough for me though! Jonathan loved it when the monkeys came to life and also the elephants! Animal Kingdom closed that day at 6pm so we had some time to shop. We went to Kissimmee to bring back a miniature Palm Tree for my mom and some t-shirts for souvenirs.

Day 3
Magic Kingdom Magic Early Hours

Arriving early at the park really helped us out today! We immediately went to Tomorrow land and got a fast pass for Buzz Lightyear. Then we rode it since there was no waiting! My son rode this ride 7 times during our vacation and it was his favorite. His second favorite was the Tomorrow land Transportation and during our stay he rode it 6 times. We had lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café. It was the usual burgers for Jonathan and me but Dennis had a barbequed chicken meal that really did look good! We stayed at MK all day with no pool breaks and watched the parade at night.

The longest line we stood in was for the Pirate of the Caribbean ride and the sign said a 30 minute wait. Of course about 5 minutes before we are to get onto the ride Jonathan says he has to go to the restroom! I asked him if he could hold it and he did……..then while on the ride it broke down! We were stuck under the muddy foot for about 10-15 minutes and when you get stuck on that ride you end up singing, “Yo, Ho Yo Ho A Pirates Life for Me” for the rest of the entire evening! Jonathan managed to make it to the restroom too! We learned a lesson about making sure you go before you get in a long line!

Our dinner was at the Crystal Palace and Jonathan really enjoyed the Pooh characters. Tiger was his favorite and he met Piglet twice! I was not as impressed with this buffet as I was with Chef Mickey’s. Also, Jonathan would not eat much here and they really didn’t offer much for him to eat. They had rice that was lemon and cinnamon flavored and sliced turkey for him. He only picked but when it was time for the raspberry sorbet to come out he sure did manage to eat all of it! :cool1:

We had front curb seats right at the entrance of the park facing the castle for the parade! I wish we had stayed for the fireworks considering our great view but Jonathan was starting to get very tired.

Day 4

MGM (or should I say Disney Hollywood Theatres) Early Entry

As soon as we arrived we did a fast pass for the Indiana Jones show which was scheduled to start at 11:30am. We were a bit disappointed that many of the attractions were not open for early entry. We waited until 8:30am for the great movie ride to open then headed for the backstage tour with no wait. Next it was off to meet Woody from Toy Story. We were also upset about the Cars. They shut the line off very early so that only a handful of people could get up close for photos with Lightning and Tow Mater. I did manage to get some shots of them though. After the Indiana Jones show which my son loved, we went to the Back lot Express. The only options on the menu for my son were chicken strips or grilled chicken with veggies. The fried chicken contained milk in the breading so it was off limits for him. I asked the cashier if he could have a hotdog and she flat out right rudely told me no that he would have to have the grilled chicken dish. I wish I thought to ask for a chef but I ordered him the grilled chicken dish. Little did I know but the grilled chicken was a cold plate. Cold grilled chicken would not go into my son’s mouth so I ended up eating his and pealing off all of the breading on my chicken and giving it to him. I really was too tired to complain. He also had apple slices for dessert. :confused3

After Lunch we did the Sounds Dangerous attraction and Jonathan was fine with it even though there are warnings for young children. It is very dark in there with the lights out and some of the sounds may scare younger children. He loved it when he got a splash from the Elephant! Next it was off to the Lights Motors Action show. Everyone also enjoyed this show and it was amazing how many people they fit into the stands for this attraction!

After this show we did the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground for a little bit and then had to go to our dinner at the Sci-Fi Café. It was an early reservation and we had just had lunch about 3 hrs prior. No one was hungry but Jonathan really wanted to eat in those cars! Even though we were stuffed I really enjoyed this meal! I ordered onion rings for my appetizer and they were excellent! I also had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries for my dinner (since I was still full from lunch) and a milk shake as my dessert. Jonathan got his hotdog and fries and rice dream ice cream with a brownie for dessert! He enjoyed watching the movie and cartoon clips. We were seated with another family though and had the back seat of the car. It was a bit tight for three people and like the reviews say…..it is dark inside there and hard to read the menu! Dennis got a kick out of the refreshment commercials since he remembered those from his childhood days at the old drive in theatres! We did leave the park after our dinner and took advantage of the pool that night. The water in the pool was just the perfect temperature!

Day 5 Typhoon Lagoon

Today was our Typhoon Lagoon Day and we also had made time for church in the evening. We absolutely loved Typhoon Lagoon! Loved the wave pool and they had many things for little ones to do. My son was always afraid of water slides and would never go down any. This really helped him since there were a few smaller ones with shallower water. He had a blast! We also did the lazy river and even got Jonathan on the family water raft! I told him it was a boat ride! He loved it too! We did a counter service lunch at Leaning Palms. We had a super experience with the counter service help here and I was able to get Jonathan a burger (which was not on the kids menu)! They even put it in a sand bucket for him at my request! We saved our dessert treat for later in the day and when we were ready for a break we all went back and had our ice cream dessert! They always had either fruit bars or popsicles for Jonathan.

We left around 4:30 and headed back to CBR to change to church. After our church services we had dinner reservations at 7:30pm at Shutters at our hotel. It was our best meal of the whole stay! The chef was SUPER! Jonathan had chicken noodle soup, grilled chicken (which was not even on the kid menu), fries and another rice dream fudge brownie sundae! They brought him tons of crackers with his soup since he could not eat the bread. Dennis and I both ordered the coconut shrimp for an appetizer and boy was it ever good! They gave us 5 pieces too! It was like a meal itself! We both ordered prime rib and it comes with Shutter Potatoes. They were excellent too! For dessert we had NY style cheesecake with strawberries and I had chocolate sauce too! My only complaint was that the service was a bit slow but the waitress had two other huge parties (b-day) and I can totally sympathize with her since I was once a waitress! Even though we were on the meal plan and it included tips we still tipped for great service! My son told the waitress, “My complements to the chef.” She went out to get him and my son clammed up when he came to the table so I spoke to him but just as he was about to go back to the kitchen my son jumped up and gave him a huge hug! I bet he doesn’t get that everyday! :cool1: :cheer2: :yay:

After our meal it was close to 9pm so we hit the sack since we were getting up early for our last day at Epcot.

Day 6 Epcot

We arrived early for Magic hours only to be totally disappointed that only three rides were open. Dennis ran to test track to get fast passes. He ended up riding it since there was no line. We went to the new Nemo attraction only to find out that we had to wait 1 hour for it to open. Of all days for us to leave our cell phones in the room! I had to wait for Dennis to show up at Nemo’s. He ended up getting there around 8:30 and I told him to go ride soarin and we would meet up at the exit of Nemo. We waited 1 hr in the hot, hot sun for this attraction to open. The nice part was that we were first in line to ride and first in line to see Turtle Talk! I wasn’t too impressed with the new ride. It was like riding through decorated TV screens to see Nemo and not much of that old time robotic animation. I did love the new Turtle Talk with Crush show! My son got called on too! Crush called him the J-Man a few times and he really got a kick out of that part of the show! We went back in the evening to see this show again and it was a totally different show dude! It is live and I was told that each show is very different. I could have gone a few more times!

After the Nemo attraction we walked right on the Journey into Imagination ride with No wait. Then it was off to use our fast pass for Test Track. This ride was a bit much for Jonathan. He was a tiny bit dizzy after the ride. After he cooled off a bit we went and did the Ellen ride. By this time it was lunch and my son was begging to go to the pool. Dennis stayed behind and had lunch and we went to the hotel for lunch. Counter service there was very good and they had a soft serve ice cream machine with toppings for dessert. I surprised my son and took him to Blizzard Beach instead of the hotel pool! He was happy about that change and now he can claim he did all 6 Disney Parks on his first visit! I was not as impressed with Blizzard Beach though. I preferred Typhoon Lagoon and had wished that we went back there instead. The lifeguards would not allow him down the little slides since he was a ½ inch too tall for them. The bigger kid’s slides were too much for him. We ended up in the wave pool which was so lame compared to Typhoon Lagoon’s wave pool! We left around 4:30 for the hotel and headed back to Epcot for our dinner in the Land. Dennis met up with us and we found out that he had hopped over to MGM and rode the roller coaster a few times and the Tower of Terror a few times.

Our dinner was at the Garden Grill. It was a very good meal. The steak was excellent
We only had a short wait and really felt bad for the many people who walked up with no reservations and were turned down. Jonathan leaned the difference between Chip and Dale! Dale has the big nose and two teeth separated! He got lots of autographs during his stay. We met Frozone, Remy, Buzz and Woody, and all of the regular characters at the meals. Jonathan had another special dessert made for him. This time he had rice dream brought out and a few minutes later the chef came out with a brownie and a dish of fruit! Our dessert was a cream puff with berries! It was excellent! After our dinner in the Land we walked downstairs to get on the boat ride only to find out that it was 7pm and closing. Dennis asked if we could please get on since we just finished our dinner upstairs and it was Jonathan’s only chance to see this attraction on his first visit. They turned away many people but let us sneak on the ride! Jonathan really enjoyed this ride and is still talking about how they grow the veggies in the air! The huge pumpkins also impressed him!

We were planning on staying for the Illuminations show but found out that Magic Kingdom had late hours this final night of our stay. We took the monorail to MK and I told Jonathan that we would stay as long as he wanted but that he would have to let us know early when he wanted to quit due to the walk back and the bus ride. We rode Buzz’s ride again 2 times and did a fast pass. We got to see the Monster’s Inc show again and rode the cars and the Transportation ride several times. It was a nice end to our super trip! Jonathan got a Buzz Lightyear toy to take home and a boxed set of Mickey Characters along with a monorail. He also got an airplane while waiting for our trip home. Now he plays vacation and built Disney World out of his blocks! Jonathan ended up telling us that he was tired around 11pm. We did get to catch a glimpse of the fireworks but we saw the back side of them and it wasn’t quite the same. As soon as we hit the seats in the bus back to CBR Jonathan fell asleep and Dennis had to carry him back to the room. He just couldn’t stay away anymore.

Day 7
The Trip Home

I really screwed up on our last day. We did have hopper passes for our 7th day but our flight out was at 1:30. We got up and got the car packed and I wanted to go to take a monorail ride for Jonathan’s last day but Dennis thought that was a bad idea just incase something would happen. We did have 1 hr before we had to leave for the airport. We ended up driving to Downtown Disney only to find out that nothing is open in the morning! We walked through the Pleasure Island area and ended up leaving for the airport. We were early enough and had a long wait to get through security. Security in Orlando was a bit tougher than Pittsburgh! There was just enough time to have a burger at the Burger King and get to our flight. This time our seats were not separated and Jonathan had a window seat! We were only 3 rows from the front of the plane. Our weather back home was very bad and raining but when we landed there was a break in the rain. Just as we got our luggage my mom and dad pulled up to pick us up! Boy was Jonathan so happy to see them! He ran to hug them! I did forget to mention that he had on his blue Mickey Wizard Ears hat and I had on a Goofy hat! We did get a few weird looks and some complements too! Now I am wondering what I am going to do with that hat until our next visit! Maybe I can wear it for Halloween? Overall we had a great time with lots of fun memories. I cannot wait to take Jonathan back again and he already misses CBR and all of the fun parks!
