Im confused now: Travel Agent says it would be 2 times faster to order Town Car to pick and deliver to Coranado Springs than to use Magical Express.

It matters 'cause I'm arriving at airport around noon and hoping to use 1st day of 4 day ticket at Epcot that day.

She says there is a lot of wait time and bus goes very slow on the road.

Has anyone using Magical Express felt that it was burning up extra time on the way to Hotel on 1st day?

We have always had good luck with ME but YMMV. I would rather save the money to use for other things. I would also ask her how many times she personally has rode ME to relate this info.

Could it be that your travel agent is trying to pad your trip? Don't they get a commission from the places they book? ME is free, a town car adds $$$. Just a thought.

I've never used a towncar, but have used ME several times and thought it was great.

I have never felt that the ME was "too slow". I LOVE the Magical Express service when compared to dealing with car rentals or cab service (expensive!!)

Here's my prediction for your timeline on arrival day. I am heavily padding my time estimates, so you might even get there faster than this. I think you'll have plenty of time for a half day at EPCOT.

Noon land and deplane.
12:30 board ME bus
1:30 arrive at hotel, check in
2:00 take Disney transportation to EPCOT

Be warned, your checked luggage won't be delivered to your room right away. Bring your EPCOT clothes and anything you'll want for EPCOT in your carry on luggage.

I would do Magical Express. last year we landed at about 1pm and had barely any wait for a bus and it was so easy.

your travel agent gets no commission if you select DME. She will if you book a towncar or rental through her.

Check the hours Epcot is open on the day you arrive - it may be open later than you think, in which case you will have plenty of time there.

If your plane lands at noon and you skip picking up your luggage (because DME is gonna do that for you), go straight to the DME counter on the lower level, check in with them - that may be less than 20 min after you land before you are on a motor coach. It could be longer but mid-day is prime time for many flights and its been our experience that the DME coaches will be humming. We used it busy Christmas week of 07 and really had no wait to get to CSR.

And.....those Disney motor coaches really roll. No lagging once they are on the road. If you feel you need a car during the week, rent it from the Car Care Center on Disney property - they will pick up at your resort and drop you off when you return the car.

We save a lot of time and money using the DME. Hope that helps with your decision. :wizard:

Thanks, now I'll just take a magical express decision right to keeping the Magical Express Service. Dis Gal, if it worked at Christmas it should be at least as good in Sept. Now I know not to worry.

Stress is gone, YEAH:goodvibes
