My tour of Aulani-Photos!

Hmm I feel i am the only one but I am not too impressed wit hthe resort. Reminds me too much of my home resort which is kidani village.

I guess for people who have the money and time to go to hawaii all the time its great BUT too me I feel its not different enough for me (from my current home resort at wdw).

We are going in less than 2 weeks and I'm very excited!! The lagoons at Ko'Olina are great, the water is very clear and no real currents to be worried about.

Good news for us! We booked a 2 bdrm. pool/garden view at a day under 7 months. I had to move my dates around due to airline issues using rewards points but we were able to get 4 people for a week from KS to Aulani for under 700.00. I wish the experience with the airlines was as easy as the call with DVC.

The kids and my wife are all excited and now we just have to count the days.

It will be interesting to see how this resort does. I'm glad we're able to get in but I will be interested to see how crowded it will be when we are there. Can't wait to share the details of our trip in March!

I don't own at Aulani, but hope to be able to book at 7 months. Would I be charged the tax if I am not an owner? 7.25 % of what amount? I did not understand the example sited in the link. I've never been to Hawaii before, but am sure other DIS members have and probably own other Hawaii timeshares. What amounts are likely to be charged? For example, if my stay were to be 500 points, what would I need to budget for this tax?

TIA
