All you need to survive bed rest is a laptop and a FaceBook account! My friend has been in bed for the past 18 weeks, so there has been A LOT of chatting!

Thanks! The heartbeat really is reassuring! But, I'm still so concerned that I'm constantly worried something might have gone wrong since we last heard it -- I need some kind of permanently hooked up doppler!
Thanks. I'm feeling reasonably well, although according to my dog I'm moving more slowly -- he keeps looking back as if to say "hey, what happened to you?"
I'm still spotting and the OB said that I should try to get my work to be less physically demanding -- i.e. no more running up and down the stairs (not that I can without breathing like I just ran a marathon) and I should try to sit down more during the day. I've been working on it for the last few days and I have some plans to cut things back...hopefully I can do it.
My friend rented a doppler. It made her WAY crazier than she would have been without it. If she couldn't find the heartbeat she would worry even more. Turns out there is some skill/technique involved with those things, and sometimes the heartbeat is hard to find.
Try to take things easy! Hopefully a decreased workload will do the trick!

Congrats to you both!!! Here's to a long and uneventful pregnancy!! I know that it's easier said than done, but try to enjoy your pregnancy because this is technically the easy part!!
