Thanks all! We need your good wishes and prayers, so, please keep them coming.

So happy for you & your DW! I hope you have a happy, healthy, beautiful baby. I hope you can get lots of rest and enjoy your pregnancy. (I also hope it is a girl because having a daughter is such a special relationship.) I can't wait to read more about your experience.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks. We have reasons for wishing for both genders. So, I think we'll be happy regardless of how it works out. Girls seem to run in my family (maternal line despite the belief that paternal line is most important for gender determinations) with only 1 male in 3 generations. So, we might get to enjoy the same relationship you've experienced.

YAY!!!! I'm so glad you 'came out' with your news!!!!!! Did anyone else pick up on it before your post? Or do I win the prize!!! (although I'm still waiting for my welcome basket!)

I have known for awhile. ;)

I saw it a week or so ago and PM her asking if it meant what I think it meant, I was SO happy when she said it was....I LOVE babies!

JSG does get the prize for being the first to pick it up. She picked it up and pm'd me after reading that our March HHI trip was on hold. However, Starann you were the first to react to the ticker when I added it.

Thanks to both of you for paying attention. And to others who may have noticed, but, waited for me to be ready to talk.

I woke up in the middle of the night bleeding heavily. It has slowed down and appears to be ending. We have to wait for tomorrow to find out what's going on.

If you believe in it, please pray for us.

If you have magical powers, we could also use them at the moment.

Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts.

Sending all the good thoughts and positive vibes I can muster!! :wizard:

Hopefully this is not an indication of anything bad, but I can only imagine how scared you must be.

You are in my prayers, I hope everything is alright.

Lots of hugs, prayers and sticky thoughts coming your way.

I am thinking positive thoughts for you both!

Thanks everyone! We need everything we can get.

The baby is still moving around with a strong heartbeat. But, I'm also still bleeding--it got heavy again. So, I'm on bedrest for a week and we're hoping.

Phew.......glad baby is doing well.I rad your post and let out a HUGE sigh of relief! Sorry that you are still bleeding, but bedrest is a very tiny price to pay (with my 1st on was on modified bedrest for 4 months!).

Glad to hear things are still OK!

The friend I told you about had A LOT of issues in the first trimester, but she will be 37 weeks on Friday. It has been a LONG road, but I am so excited for her! Can't wait for the next 26 weeks to fly by so it will be your turn!

Our family will be praying for your family. I hope you are feeling okay. I know you must be very stressed.

I saw that the entire first season of Glee came out on dvd. Maybe that would be a way to spend some time on bed rest. We will all have to think of some good books for you to read, too. You can be glad you aren't at our house, if the tv is on it is Phinneas and Ferb...sort of entertaining the first time, but after seeing the same cartoon 50 times it looses something... :rotfl2:

Hugs!

Yep. My DW was joking about what would happen if this was the beginning of 6 months of bedrest. I really do think that it was a joke and that things will improve. But, if I do end up at home for the next 6 months I'm perfectly willing to do so in exchange for a healthy baby.

I'm happy to hear these kinds of stories because I'm worried. I hope she enjoys her success. (And, I hope that these first trimester problems are just about scaring me rather than a sign of problems. Regardless, I can put up with just about anything as long as I get there in the end!)

I'll try. Our foster son is home all day tomorrow and most of the day on Thursday, so, that won't be stress-free. I may hide in my bedroom.

Thanks for the prayers. I've never seen Glee, so, I suppose it would be a way to start.

I'm going to start by trying to get the grading I haven't been doing done. And, I have a few books to read already. But, recommendations won't go amiss.

Thinking of you and sending good wishes! Bed rest is no fun by any means, but I fully understand the tradeoff!

I've read the series by Stieg Larsson this summer. Beach reading, you know? Good, dark enough to hold your interest and quirky enough to be unpredictable.

Take care!

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Glad baby is doing okay. Stay on that bed rest as hard as it is (I was on bedrest with DS for a couple of weeks for a similar issue) I wasn't good at it but definetly do it.

Keep us posted.

I'll keep it in mind. So far, I slept until 2:00 today -- I did get up briefly and have a snack at 6 which I guess is why I didn't wake up simply because I was starving. The cat loved it and has asked me to repeat it again tomorrow.

I was told that I can move around the house to get food, etc. And, we went to a doctor's appt too. She asked what I did for a living before suggesting bedrest. So, I think that if I worked at a desk she might not have done it. But, I stand and walk up and down stairs most of the day normally.

I spent many weeks on bedrest. I read a lot and learned to like television.

Glad you got good news.

Thanks. If I end up on true bedrest moving a TV into the bedroom will be necessary. Fortunately, we do have a cable hookup in the room already.
