My "thrifty" wife is gonna kill me...Need help..

You asked about "cement pond"? PP has a big waterslide, does that count instead of cannonballs? Enjoy!

If you decide you are not going to spend the $ for PP, you might try Candy Cane Inn. Great continental breakfast and their own private shuttle. (It is also within walking distance.)

Wow....what i nice bunch of women.

I never had a clue that a "concierge" stay (thanks for the spelling, Danauk)would hit such a positive button. :cloud9: ...good to know. :thumbsup2

I was just looking for a little info to help justify the 2 day rate "bump" from $320 - $700 in the event Ms. Hound was (as Cannot Wait 4 Disney so eloquently put it) "...holding a cast iron skillet."

But i'm gonna remember this concierge response ladies...... :hyper:

It just might pay for itself in ......"ahem"..... non-economic ways. :love1: :lmao:

And I just want to respond to all of my groupi...uh, i mean fans....er, nope...i meant all the nice ladies here. :rotfl:

vernfonzndrian & disneegrl4eva, thanks for your nice words.

danauk (i just figured it out...dana from the uk  ) - thanks for the spelling lesson and the "concierge" tips. (Would it help in getting "good seats" for Alladin??)

victorandbellasmom, thanks for all the info. They ENCOURAGE the taking of snacks??? You mean i don't have send the 8 y/o kiddo up to the rice crispie & bottled water table with sunglasses and a ski parka on to gather our daily provisions?? :tiptoe:

And AZMickeyfans....don't worry...the concierge level won't change me...i won't be a :snooty: hound. (as long as my concierge brethren aren't around.....Polo anyone??)

lilsprstr - i'm with you on EE. Rockstar it is! :rockband:

Becca, Nezzie & KelsiesMommy - I'll clue the DH's that ponying up for onsite concierge might just be worth their while. ;) :rotfl2: (& thanks for the nice words).

Cannot Wait 4 Disney - you nailed it. From $300 smackers to $700 smackers :rolleyes1 ...that is the issue.

& "Hi ya Hon"....that sounds like waitress with a beehive hairdo from a diner. (Gotta Love'em!)

Dangermouse, you & AZMickeyfans are just a couple of ol' sweet talking disflirts. And even though I'm concierge & you're not, it doesn't change the fact that flirting will get you "everywhere". :teeth: :dancer:

Chocolate lover, Kailua's Belle, & Heather Ann, thank you for the nice words  ...& I will take your advice & enjoy our "splurge". :cool2:

eatmypixiedust, mikayla, bjsmom, & lisadoll, thanks for all the nice words :grouphug: & I promise we'll have a great time. :yay:

When the Hounds roll up to the PP it will be like when the Clampetts rolled into Beverly Hills...Ce-ment Pond, here we come. :woohoo:

(& thanks to whoever posted about chocolate covered strawberries and wine....makes it less likely the frying pan will be flying :duck: in the Hound house.

To all my fans....(er...i mean).... To all the nice ladies here....:flower3: pixiedust: :thanks:

Uh oh, Hound has DIS groupies!! :teeth: I guess the way to a woman's heart is "concierge!" :rotfl2:

Stayed PPH Concierge last week! Loved it (do you hear me singing that?!). Walked back for the wine and snacks (I call it dinner!) then returned to DL to finish up. It was heaven! One caveat - I booked concierge so I could request a 3rd floor poolside room, specifically telling guest services I wanted poolside so I could be poolside, I do so love the pool. Unfortunately, the concrete pond was missing the pond element. Pool was closed (which the hotel was fully aware of when I booked the room). The slide was open but the pool and most important to me - jacuzzi - was closed. :sad2: We went over to the DLH and used their pool after the parked closed. They were open until 10pm over there. It just takes more effort to get a key, pack up a bag, wear a cover-up (no I did not walk across the street in my bathing suit :scared1:) and walk to another hotel. So moral of the story - always ask if anything (especially the pool) is under rehab or construction prior to your stay because no one is going to offer up that information.

Dont forget christmas stocking stuffers!!! You can justify your whole trip just by the little shampoos and soaps. :santa:

We will all be wishing you luck Hound - but if by chance the worst does happen - at least you will go out in DL concierge style!!!
