Just returned too. We booked a woods view and got a woods view. This is the first time we were not upgraded at WL. Actually our room was at the end of the hall, so the last woods view room. If you looked straight ahead it was a woods view, but if you turned to the left it was a standard view. Glad I wasn't paying full price or it would not have been worth the price to me. We watched the alligator in the pond every morning. Also saw 3 otters, a huge SNAKE swim across the pond, and a huge turtle and a couple of little ones (no wonder you can't swim in the 7 seas lagoon--since the pond and the lagoon are just a couple of feet between each other). We were there for 10 days and the alligator was there everyday. We did mention it to the staff, we also mentioned it to the kids playing near the pond too one day. The alligator was about 3 1/2 to 4 feet. Housekeeping was not to our liking. We are early birds and are out of our room by 8:00 AM. We were lucky on a good day to have our room cleaned by 3:00 PM, sometimes as late as 3:30 PM which was a problem for us, since we were always back for our mid-day break. So we would have to leave the room while housekeeping came in and had to wait to take showers until she came and left. The crowds in roaring forks were out of control. Glad we only ate breakfast at WC. We used the ferry boat in the morning and generally had large crowds waiting. I believe the resort was at capacity. I only used the bus once (MGM) and had a 20 minute wait. PARKING was horrible, we were lucky to get a space at the end of the lot in the evenings. The pools were equally packed and never a chair available. We never used the main pool and usually went to the quiet pool where the crowds were less and chairs available. Our room was ready at checkin Wed. 7/14 @ 11:30AM. I think I have WL burn out now after 2 stays there this year, so sorry if my post sounds so negative. I do think WL is a lovely resort, but had a more positive stay at Pop Century for my 12 night stay in May this year.
