I just returned from a 6 night stay at Liki Tiki with my husband and 7 year old daughter. We had a great time there, but a few concerns may cause us not to return a second time.... When we checked in, we had to go to a separate desk to obtain our parking pass and at that time they hit you up for time share shows. They are rather pushy about this, but I was somewhat expecting that. I was quite concerned about what room we got from the other reviews I had read. My only request was that we received a room with a flat screen tv. The room was in the 700 building. It was nice and most things in it were new. The beds were decent and although obviously renovated, still no problem. They gave us basic supplies that lasted most of our stay. We had a real nice view from our balcony of the lake too. The waterslide pools were ok but worn and the slides were not working most of our stay. The mini golf course is just plain worn out and one of the docks had partially sunk. We spent our pool time at the pool behind the clubhouse and were happy with it. They were renovating the hot tub so that was a big eyesore. They have a little tiki bar there at the pool that is neat and music playing.
Here is my big problem... our condo had a door that connected to the condo next to ours. We could hear EVERYTHING going on in the living room/kitchen. I mean down to what they were saying! It was really ridiculous.
If you stay here, see if you can get a condo that is not adjoining. The location is great for Disney using the Sherberth Rd shortcut. I would rate it a 2 out of 5 stars.

I would imagine that one of the reasons most people would want to stay in a condo is to avoid the noise issues of a hotel and have more privacy. Hopefully Island One can get it together with this resort.
Units without the doors are called "dedicated" units.
