Mod thread.

I've PMed every single webmaster once, several more than once.

You all know the problem I'm talking about. Its KILLING the Teen Board.

We used to be able to boast "best behaved" on the dis, not any more. I've seen several vile attacks over the past few days. The Teen board is spirling downward.

We need some kind of moderation. I saw travis post a while back, and tara too, but you have to understand, they have lives. They can't dedicate their whole day to the TB, and no one is asking them too. But we need a few more people in place. This board is too much for two people.

I've put two years of my life into this forum, and I can say, this is the worst I've ever seen it. This is the least moderated we've ever been. This is insane.

We need mods.

no offense to travis and tara( i think) but we need *new* mods. mods that are on more often.........i think you(shelby) would personally be a good mod. and maybe like PrincessAsh or LovesDisney too!

If new mods are needed, so be it.

If you want something changed, get enough people to ask a WM, they can do all kinds of things.

I've done everything I can up to this point. I've pmed everyone. They've all finally stopped responding to me.

We need moderation. Every other board gets it, why not us? We're like the red headed step child of the dis.

This is a problem that needs to be taken care of, and people have stopped listening to me.

Kathy and Cricket are the only ones who responded to me. Cricket once, Kathy numerous times, but now she's not responding anymore.

The teenboard is obvisoulsy suffering through hard times, so why are they paying no attention. Not to be stereotypical because I know we are mostly a good group of teens, but wouldn't you expect a teenboard to get more moderation? Maybe its just me, But things seem to be getting out of hand and it needs to be taken care, I don't know if we can solve it ourselves without a lil help from the people above us.

Okay, I can understand that Travis and Tara are really busy these days. However, when they're gone, we're a mess.

We really do need someone who can take controll of this mess.

I couldn't agree MORE with you! In fact, I have tried, also, getting in contact with some webmasters over the past few months but I've never even gotten a response...once.

Maybe the more they hear from the teens, the more they will realize we are in dire need of active moderation. I can keep my "respect" thread bumped and maybe that will help...my hope is that teens will take it seriously.

Yeah, we do need mods to come on more often, but seriously, everyone does it, even you Sparx are mean on the threads sometimes, so I think everyone needs to not automaticly go on a thread and post

Because those are the things that start fights, I have been on here for two years as well, and I dont think the dis is that crazy right now..You make it sound like everyone is being negative, but I dont see a lot of that, just once in a while I see some remarks that are mean...

Everyone on here is an individual, and when I first joined I remember being bashed by a lot of people because I liked Hilary Duff. And that is what a lot of people are doing, bashing other because maybe they dont like Wal-Mart.

Let's just try to be nice to others.

As far as the webmasters go, I know they are busy and all that, but I wish over the last few months they could maybe reply back, at least once, to my question...lol. It doesn't have to be a long pm -- just even a simple "I got your pm and will look into it" or "Just wanted to let you know we have received your pm"....or at least something like that.

I have seen some threads that certainly could have been closed...and I have seen posts that certainly needed to be deleted. That right there is more than necessary here.

This board isn't a huge chaotic mess. That's good! Let's make it sure it never gets that way.

Shelby You already know my stand on this but all I have to say is good luck. Getting good moderation for the teen board is not a top priority at all and they don't care if they are never on.

Yes I have. I'm the first to admit that I have been rude to some posters.

I also remember a thread I made awhile back appologizing for the way I had been acting. I've not seen the people who really need to be doing that, doing that.

I agree with everyone that we really do need more moderation. When I stsrted posting on the TB, I was schocked at how civilized we all were. I had decided to stop posting on some of the other boards for a while because of bitterness. Now, many of our threads are full of flames and personal attacks.
I have seen maybe two mod posts in the past couple of months.

I know that I have PMed webmasters about really serious problems, such as the thread about suicidal thoughts. I got a response from Kathy on that one, and the problem was dealt with. The problem is that we have to have regular mods to deal with the smaller, everyday problems, not just webmasters to deal with the rare, huge problems.
