My Thanksgiving week plan - advice/critique?

Another poster mentioned that it didn't really matter what time you get there
either way you would wait 30 min...

Scenario 1: you get to rope drop at 9:30, and wait 30 min to run to ride TSMM first...

Scenario 2: you ride LM and/or Soarin' then Make your way to TSMM -and there is a 30 min wait...
:confused3

Which way is better?

Exactly why I don't rope drop TSMM anymore. Unless you are in the first group that gets on the ride, you will be waiting the same amount of time. And this is assuming that everything goes well, which is not a guarantee. I prefer to FP and ride Soarin', LM, FP and ride Screamin', and then TSMM. It works out about the same AND I have knocked out some other rides as well.

I tried to rope drop TSMM multiple times with no success. Once TSMM wasn't open until about an hour after park opening, so wasted 30 minutes lining up. Another time the CMs were behind the ball opening up the queue, so there was a gigantic line backing up past Screamin' and people were cutting. I skipped it and went on Screamin' instead. Another time we just weren't in the first group and ended up waiting anyway. I was pretty disgusted with the whole thing and now just bite the bullet in the late morning/early afternoon.
