I wanted to post something about my experience on MS which I hope people will find helpful.
I went on MS with my daughter (10) and son (6) and we all loved it. That said, there have been so many mixed experiences ranging from "it was lame" to "I thought I was going to die!", that it's really not a ride you can prepare for because you just don't know how you're body is going to react.
I was very nervous about this ride after reading so many mixed reports, but I knew I had to try it at least once. I chose to ride it at the end of a day around 4:30pm on an empty stomach... just in case. That way if I did get sick, it wouldn't impact my entire day. That being said, I did feel a little disoriented for about an hour---you know, that swimmy feeling you have in your head when you have a really bad cold or sinus problems. But it didn't negatively affect the remainder of my day.
Now this was my experience so obviously it may not be yours. I am the type of person who can get nauseous in the back seat of a car and will get seasick. I don't go crazy spinning the tea cups and I had to close my eyes half way through star tours because i was getting nauseous. For whatever reason, I did fine on MS. No problem whatsoever. I've read posts from people who can ride anything who were put out of commission from MS. It seems like this ride is a crapshoot because you have no way of predicting how your body is going to react to the experience , you just have to way out whether or not you are willing to risk it. I personally was, but with an element of damage control. (I wasn't going to ride thes first thing in the morning on a full stomach).
The warnings are there for a reason. The motion sickness warning is very unpredictable and totally subjective. Just because you get nauseous in some situations, doesn't mean you will get nauseous in this one (I'm living proof of that). I would however heed the claustophobia warning. There's no getting around that one.
I hope this helps.
