I thought I would share this with you all....

My puppy Bailey was in the garden last night she had been laying in the sun and chewing on some twigs for ages. Me & DH were in the lounge when both dogs came back in but Bailey had her head down and her tail between her legs and crawled straight under the coffee table :confused3 me & DH looked at each other and both said I wonder what trouble have they been up to?

I got her out from under the table and she looked up at me.....with a great big red swollen face...she had been stung! :rotfl2: All her little lips were rock hard and I could see where the sting went in. (I am used to it now as Stamford has been stung a few times and I've had to pull the sting out.) She looked so sorry for herself and a bit later proceeded to vomit all over the carpet. :headache: She is fine today but I don't think she has learn't her lesson as she was sniffing another Bee today! :upsidedow

aww bless her

 Aww bless her. My old dog was constantly getting stung, and she'd have to have an injection at the vet as she used to swell up so much - she didn't learn :rotfl2:

Oh well, a puppy with a trout pout, I can think of worse!!

Seriously, bless her little heart..... She must have been so confused!!

poor puppy. my dog likes to snap at passing bugs so it's only a matter of time

Aww Bless her, Im pleased she is Ok today, she sounds a real character :rotfl2:

My old cat was always going to the vets with swollen lips from stings he never learnt. Our cat we have now actually tried to catch a wasp and it stung his paw it swelled up to twice its size that was nasty he has however learnt his lesson :lmao:

Poor little thing.

OH no! My dogs are so bad for doing this but fortunately the little one has only been stung once. She was fine.
I am such a bad owner as she was trying to get the bee off her face and running to come in through the flap in the back door. I'm terrified of stinging insects and blocked the flap til the bee came off (which was only a few second later).
Now the flamin' dogs stand beside a hebe bush in my garden which is in flower and wait til they see a bee or wasp and when it comes near enough they LAUNCH themselves at it. Even my kids shout at them to leave the bees alone.
And they are only little toy poodles! The worst they can do is lick you to death!

Thanks everyone. :goodvibes Bailey is fine, she was all back to normal by yesterday morning and was back sniffing & chasing the bee's, flies, snails, butterflies and anything else that gets in her path! :rotfl2: The little monkey came up to me last night and spat a beetle out of her mouth....it landed on my foot and was still alive! I screamed and jumped up and down like a mad woman and she just stood there looking at me! :rotfl: :lmao:

She went to the vets today and we had her micro chipped & she had her 2nd injection so she will be able to go out for walks with big brother and join a local puppy training class in two weeks! :yay:

I remember our old Boxer Harvey was very fond of eating bees - especially the big Bumble variety! And he had a horrible habit of munching woodlice too!!! He'd sometimes come in from the garden with a couple stuck to his lip... ;)

Our current lady Dal enjoys whatever insects she can snap up, bees/wasps included - she's always out foraging for fauna... :sad2:

I think they are all the same Karen....Stamford our 3 year old does it too he will chase moths round and round the room for hours! He makes me laugh when he tries to jump up and get them when they are on the ceiling! :lmao:

The only thing that shocked me about Bailey being stung is it took Stamford about 3 months before he got his first sting....whereas Bailey lasted 3 weeks! LOL!!
