My St. Patricks Day Story...

I had to share this with you all...

Way back when I was a "wee one" okay, it was when I was 19 years old, going to college. Back then I made our drinking age of 18.

So here it was St. Patricks Day time to head downtown and have a green beer, or two.

On my way home it was late...I'm driving up the road and the traffic light turns yellow. As I look around quick I don't see anyone and I blow right through the light as it turned red.

All of a sudden blue flashing lights appeared. I pull over and a tall, serious, stiff looking officer approaches my car. "Do you know why I pulled you over" the officer says. I reply "no" (hey what is a girl to say?) He went on to say "you just went through a red light"

Not even hesitating I replied "But officer it is St. Patricks Day and I'm only seeing green"

This serious, stiff broke out laughing and said he is going to let me go due to the excellent comeback!

Enjoy the day everyone and remember don't drink and drive!

Not only that but I think of how I am now at 42 and I would NEVER say something like what I said to the police officer at 19! Typical college kid - no worries at all!
