The one I use for almost exclusively SR has over 100 emails from people I don't know telling me to stop sending them things and to remove them from my list.
Has anyone ever had this happen? I've no idea what they're talking about. I emailed yahoo but who knows when t hey will respond.
Some of the people said they report me whatever that means. I was going to try to send something to myself but I'm to afraid that it will do something to my regular (family/friend) email addy.
Anyone have any suggestions or insight? I would be very appreciative.

Lots of people seem to be getting similar messages right now. It is just a new version of spam from what I've heard. Just delete and forget it.

ooh is it risingproducts.com??? I am stuck in that loop and trying to get people to stop emailing me. The address that has our emails loaded in it is subscribers3@risingproducts.com. Is that familiar at all?

Thanks

I'm there too. I've gotten 100's of emails today addressed to risingproducts.com. I've just been deleting them and hoping it will end soon...
Have no idea how I got hooked up with them but I've signed up for so many surveys and freebies, who knows? :confused3

I got the original email from rising products that has the unsubscribe link in it. I have been sending it to the people that have emailed me to be removed. This morning I only got 1 email!

If any of you need that email just PM me and I would be glad to pass it along. That way we can get rid of this company hoopla.

Thanks

yep it's rising products. I need to get out of this. I hate people who have nothing better to do than to irritate and annoy others.
Glad to know it's not only me. Do we know if it started through a click of some kind?

The last offer I did was roughly the jeopardy one. Was that part of Gamefly? That part I can't remember but I feel that might be the culprit. Wonder if Tricia would know anything. I haven't posted it over on her forum yet but thinking maybe I should.

You know, I didn't have my addy hijacked, but I did get signed up for Columbia House the same day that I did the jeopardy offer. I was sort of leaning toward that one being the culprit for the columbia house/bmg sign ups.

I don't think it could be jeopardy because I did that one and I haven't gotten any of them. Gamefly is really separate from all of the others because it is more like a shopping link than a paid offer the way that I have it directly with the advertiser.

I'd love to figure out which offer this is from and give the advertiser a piece of my mind. But I can't seem to figure out which one is causing EITHER the columbia house/bmg crap or the weird risingproducts mass email.

OK. This is just my thought on this, but it the BMG/Columbia house thing might be from the free sign up offers. You know those pages when you have to choose an offer to get to the next page, you information could be feeding from there. If you choose that offer just to get off the page, it might be enough to set up an account.

The reason I say this is because I have had this happen with Inbox dollars. I have chosen this one to move further into the survey and the next day I will see an email from inbox dollars saying click here to confirm your account.

I've noticed with BMG on these pages that the setting is automatically set to "YES" too.

I hope this might help.:confused3

I didn't do jeopardy, but I did do gamefly. No problems here.

So back to the drawing board on rising products. Luckily my email has FINALLY calmed down. Game home this afternoon with nothing new. WOOHOO!!! Now I have to figure out how I got signed up with CH. I have a DVD and a welcome package on backorder. Can you believe they ran out of those!!!
