DH gave me a nice spa GC for Christmas:goodvibes

My big dilemma right now is...do I just blow the GC on 1 visit (i.e. specialty massage, or a comination of 1/2 hour massage, manicure and pedicure) or should I do 3 separate things at 3 separate times?

I am just wondering what all of you would do.

Thank for your input!!!

If it were me, I would go for the massage, manicure and pedicure all at once. Sounds like a nice day out.
Whatever you decide, have a great time.

I'd pull out all the stops and do it all at once! You'll be in heaven and feel wonderful afterwards!

it depends on the spa. I've been to some that going for one thing at a time is fine. and I've been to some (my favorite) that when you walk in, you never want to leave. if its a never-want-to leave type, pamper yourself, go for all at once. and if you have kids, try to arrange a babysitter for that night and plan a nice dinner with hubby after. :)

I like to use a spa GC all at one time. Then you really get to indulge in the whole spa atmosphere. If you just go for one thing, it's over by the time you're relaxed.

ETA: I wouldn't necessarily go to a nice day spa and get a pedicure or manicure. Those are pretty much the same if you go to a nice nail place. I would go for the massage and a facial or maybe a body wrap. Just my opinion ;)

I go to the Grand Floridian Spa every Disney trip. You 100% need the deluxe facial. It lasts for 80 minutes and includes scalp, shoulders, neck, arm/hand, and feet massages. Or, at least that is what the one there does. I am sure a local spa has similar offerings.

I think it depends on the spa. There are spas out there where you walk in and you go to your room for your treatment and undress there and get dressed again and if you have another treatment scheduled you wait out front again and then go to that room and undress or whatnot.

Then there are spas that are made for an all day experiance. You are issued a locker and a robe and slippers. They have a hot tub, steam room, sauna.. that sort of thing. They have a tranquility room where you go to wait for your treatments that has fruit and juices and waters and teas.

I've been to two of the 2nd one and only 1 of the first one and the second one is so much better. So if the spa is like the first one, I would probably break up your treatments to make them last longer. But if the spa is like the second one, go for the all day treatment, it's like heaven!!!!

Either way, have a great time... I am jealous.

How much is this, and do they do men and women together... like for a honeymoon?

What a great hubby:cutie: He's a keeper!

I love to go to the spa. I get a great massage about 3 times year. In fact, I think I'll go over today.:scratchin I have some bonus money from Christmas. 'Scuse me while I make a call...

What a great gift. I would kill for a full massage right now. I'd love to spend a whole day just being pampered.

I agree 100% with this, if is a spa set up for a day-long experience, do them all at once, and I wouldn't do a manicure/pedicure either--do something else--I love facials too! If the spa is like this, BRING A FRIEND, it will be so much more fun. If the spa is a place where you just go an get a massage then do 3 separate trips.

Now, that's my kind of dilemma! I vote for using it all at once if you like the spa's atmosphere. Have a great time!

I would do the speciality facial... I can have my pedi and mani at home anytime but a speciality facial...now that sounds good to me.

OP here...the plot thickens a little bit.

I was talking to DH, and I tossed out that maybe I would wait until our anniversary weekend to use this certificate (coming up in March) and then I'll be nice and relaxed when we go out to eat.

And he said... no need to wait, because if I enjoy myself, I could always schedule something for that day too. No wonder I love this guy so much. ;)

I've not really "spoiled myself" in ages. Probably why this spa certificate just has me so perplexed.

I could get used to this...

I would do an all day pampering thing. Services done piecemeal are what I would consider "maintenance" and not a treat, LOL!
