My son's teacher told him his mother was dishonest!

He dragged himself to school, still sick, to finish this project... completed it and told his teacher he'd hung it up to dry. The next day, his art teacher told him she was giving him an F, because he did not put it in the correct pile to be graded. Plus she didn't remember him telling her he'd completed it anyway!!
...

After much debate, she finally agreed to raise his F grade to a D, but would lower his 86% to a D for the whole quarter, which dropped his honor status he'd worked very hard for!@#$%^&

...Now my GS is totally discouraged - hating the class, not respecting the teacher, not even wanting to complete her class the rest of the year.

Grrrrr!! I know how I'd feel if that happened to me in one of my art classes! Luckily I haven't experienced that so far...though I still have problems with teachers at my high school (however, down here, the problem is more the COUNSELORS than anyone...UGH!!).

The "F" because the project wasn't in the correct pile...sorry but that's uncalled for. Sure, he may be a procrastinator, but he DID finish the task on time anyway, even when he was sick!!

I've done the Scholastic orders as my volunteer job for the classroom two different years. I've called and added books when one came in late many times. I guess there are people out there who "send it in," but why would you when a cheery operator will take your order, help you get the best buys on your points, etc., in less than 15 minutes?

Married to the school superintendent? Now that is scary.
