is due....TOMORROW!!! Did he tell us? NO! Now we are working overtime to get him to do his report and the board done. His topic, The History of the New Orleans Saints. I hated doing this crap when I was in school, I refuse to do this for him. This is HIS project for HIS grade. He gets 2 A's for this. Any other parents have this problem of finding out the last possible minute?
She did work really hard on it that week and got an A+.....but I ranted and raved all week about it.

For those students that wanted to get an early start, they had to make sure they went to the library before it closed.
I refuse to do their work.
I have one child who really struggles in school (5th grade) and one child who breezes through it (1st grade). My son would do something like this- "natural consequences" don't work for him- consequences- he doesn't care!! My husband and I are resigned to the fact we will be sitting next to him in high school while he does homework
My son had to do a SS project in 2nd grade on "An American who has made a significant impact". Guess who he chose? Bobby Hebert!!! It was actually very cute- he brought his poster to Deanie's after one of the home games and Bobby autographed it. The next week, he had my DS on the radio program and went on and on about how Michael had completed a school project on him and he hoped he didn't get an "F"!!!
I know his back is to the wall, but maybe this time he just needs to fail. Natural consequences are just that--it what happens to you when you choose to do or not do something. I think this lesson would go a long way toward giving him some understanding about how procrastination negatively impacts his grades.
