Yes, they're required by state law to pay for any damages any rental cars, anything that we have to pay for. They're just trying to get out of it by saying they only have $25,000.

I'm glad we all walked away too. No she told me that she's gotta find the other people that were involved in the accident. Which she can't get their information until they get the accident report. My husband said we weren't going, they need to stop being ugly about it. We didn't ask for this.

I have some more bad news. I went back to the ER this morning to have my knee looked at. Well, when she first came in, she thought it was broken or fractured, so of course they took x-rays. Well, those came back and she was like well I'm putting you on crutches and an imbolized knee brace for at least 3-6 weeks and you need to see an ortho dr. She told me that I could have torn or damaged ligaments. Hopefully that's really not the case. But the bad part is I can't find an ortho dr that will do 3rd party billing or 30 day billing. I'm not paying for this crap. That stupid girl shouldn't have run the red light. After I told my husband all this, he said that's it get a lawyer, we're not getting screwed in all of this. So, I did. An investigator is coming out tomorrow morning to talk to me and get some paper work signed. So hopefully I'll have a rental car sometime soon. Hardy told me this morning that if my car is repairable it would take at least 2 weeks if not a month to fix it, because of all the parts they have to order and all that stuff, but Hardy is also doing their own estimate of our car. I would post more pics, but I'm feeling a little loopy right now. I will keep you guys updated as much as I can. I would take pics of Ethan's leg braces, but I'm going to go lay down. I'm starting to see things LOL.

Oh gosh, I am so sorry things are not looking up yet! It is so frustrating when it isn't your fault and you have no control over things and how they get done. It has been more then a year and we still don't have the money back from paying our medical bills, etc.

I picked it up this morning. And the insurance companies supposidly ordered a copy of it, so they should've had it yesterday. I hope my knee gets better too. I don't want to be walking around Disney with crutches.

I'm glad we got an attorney as well. They do have me on some awesome pain meds. I took them last night and about an hour later I was in bed lol. It'll all work out.

Hey. Thanks. I appreciate all the prayers right now. The insurance company is still giving me the run around that they can't put me in a rental until she talks to the other driver. Which I know for a fact he's not going to talk to them and they've gotten an attorney as well. It's all one big mess. It really is, and it blows.

I went to see yet another doctor today about my knee. They told me that it might be an MCL tear. And they said if that's the case then I'll have to have surgery to repair it and there's no getting around that. So please pray that's it' not that. Just pray that it's a sprain or something and it'll get better. I really don't want to have surgery. My husband's already talking about taking family medical leave and if he does that, then we're definatley going to be screwed. He's the only one that works. That girl shouldn't have ran that light and none of this would've happened. I'm getting so irritated right now with the insurance company. They're still giving me the run around about putting me in a rental car. I'm so sick of this crap. It's really frustrating me.

The good news is that it's not too much longer before we leave to go to WDW. I just hope that my knee is better by the time we get down there. I really don't want to walk around there with crutches, but if I have to then I will.

Yes it is a mess. My insurance company won't do that, because I don't have rental coverage on my insurance policy, which I didn't know until now. They were like you can get it added, but it's not going to help you now. No it doesn't make any sense, but that's the way it works I guess. This is my first time here, so if it's a little off I apologize. One of my good friends told me about this place and I'm here to try it out for the first time. I've read a few other posts, but never responded to any of them.

My name is Shavone Duquette, we live in GA. I'm 26 years old, my husband is Jason Duquette, he's 26 as well. We have 2 wonderful little boys. Jeremiah is 4 and Ethan is 3. This is my story of how I ended up here on the dis boards.

Here's the story. My youngest son (3) was born with a lot of heart problems and other problems. Throughout his 3 years we've gotten nothing but bad news from the doctors and specialist and other people he's had to see. In April of 2008 my husband and I were watching a race and saw that a boy was granted a wish from the Make A Wish foundation. Their information was posted all over the screen, so I decided to look into it that night.

We love the make a wish foundation. My cousin CJ received a wish, I actually think the race wish you are referring to was him. He and his parents spent three days with Jeff Gordon at a race. He had so much fun and all the people involved were awesome. I am told Jeff still is in contact with him. Cj was diagnosed at 6 with childhood neuroblastoma, and is currently cancer free.

I know you will have a great time, and I can not wait to hear more of your trip report.

Yes, I'm going to add that to our policy. Yes I added it to the policy a few hours ago. UGH this has just been a very frustrating day for me. I'll give everybody an update in just a few minutes.

An update to the accident. The girls insurance company contacted me this morning and told me that they only had $10,000 in property damage and they've already exceeded that limit. So they kept telling me this morning no rental car and they weren't going to get my car fixed. So I called my lawyer and told him about it and by the time I got back from picking up Jeremiah from school, the girls insurance company called and was like here's the reservation number for your rental car and we're faxing the estimate to Hardy to get your car fixed. So my husband's thinking our lawyer called them and told them to hurry it up. I go back to the dr tomorrow about my knee. So we'll see how that goes. Jason's off tomorrow so he's getting Ethan on the bus and taking Jeremiah to school for me and taking me to the dr as well. I think it's all because he wants to drive the new rental car . They gave us a 08 Mazda 6. But that's all we know for now. When I find something else out, I'll let you know.

The ice cream social tonight for the MAW was AWESOME. I found out some really cool information from our wish coordinator , our wish party will be the week before we leave so when I get the info from them I'll share it with you guys.
