Yesterday, my son went out bike riding after school. As he is riding down the street one block over, he hits a rock in the street and ends up flipping over the bikes handle bars and the bike crashes down next to him.
That, in itself, knowing my son, is not enough to freak me out....but the fact that the bike actually BROKE in half does rattle the nerves!!
Somehow, the front wheel and struts are on one half, the rest of the frame on the other!! He is so lucky that he didn't get more banged up that just the scrapes on his hands and that there was no traffic coming when this happened.
I have called the bike company and they want me to send them photos of the bike and they will determine which parts need to be replaced and they will send them to us. This is one time (aside from using it in Disney!) that I really appreciate the digital camera! I got their email address and will get the photos out to them this morning.
Boys!!!
