We did a Mickey theme so I figured I'd post a few pictures and give a few details.
For music, I downloaded old Mouseketeer music from iTunes and burned it to a CD. It was great because the adults all knew the songs and the kids loved to march around the room. I also included a few Mickey Mouse Clubhouse songs and Imagination Movers songs (Birthday was a hit).
For decorations, we used a lot of the Mickey decorations that you can get at Party City or Walmart.
We used a lot of balloons - black, red, and yellow. We had a few mylar balloons also.
We had Mickey head rice crispy treats dipped in chocolate to create ears.
We had Mickey cheese (prepackaged made by Kraft I think)
We had Mickey pineapple slices.
We had pizza rolls, pigs in a blanket, fruit tray, veggie tray, chips, dips, crackers, cheeses, etc... The party was 2:30-5:30 so there wasn't a need for REAL food haha - otherwise we would have done Mickey burgers (I've seen them at Target)
We made cupcakes and a cake. The cupcakes we frosted in white icing and put 2 mini oreos for the ears. The cake we made a 2 layer cake and then a soccer ball cake. I layered the pieces and put the soccer ball on top. I covered it in icing and fondant and then made ears from fondant. I'm going to post a picture - in person it didn't have that much white confectioners sugar on it - but the picture makes it stand out haha.
We drove to Downtown Disney for the t-shirt and ears for my 1 yr old.
The goody bags were the Mickey goody bag you can find with the other Mickey party supplies at Party City filled with: a Mickey pencil, tons of Mickey stickers (some we have collected from CM at Disney hahah), a pack of Goofy's candy - it was on a strip of 3 either regular gummies or sour gummies at Goofy's Candy Co., we put in a Mickey lollipop from Goofy's Candy Co - they come in 5 packs, we put in a Mickey blow-out (party supplies). I also picked up a bunch of Disney hardback books at our local Bookstore Outlet for $2.99 and $3.99 and let each child pick one to take home.
The party was awesome. Here are just a few pictures...
The back of the cake had "Nate" in cursive like on the back of his ears.
