My Son's Autograph Quilt!

People had asked for photos, so I wanted to include them. Now I take the credit for the idea on the design; however, my sister's AMAZING MIL was the one who made it for me. She even added to it by making stars and mickey ears in the design on the autograph squares although you can't see it in the pictures because the thread is the same color. I just cut 12 by 12 squares, used fabric pens for signing; and had every character we saw sign - I had about 28 squares.

That is awesome! I really love the quilted mickey heads- perfect! My only problem is that now I'm afraid to actually make my quilt. I got all the signed pieces done last trip, but I know it will not look anything close to as good as yours- hmmm, maybe I could lose them

thanks everyone! I'm lucky I have an extended family member who is so talented. About the big squares, I had to tell all the characters and princesses that the whole square was their's - they thought they needed to write small to share it and each of them were so excited they got to write big to fill the space!

What did you have the squares on while the characters signed them? Did you tape them to heavy cardboard or something?

Two questions, did you wash the material before cutting it into the 12x12 squares? Or does it need to be washed one they are cut? Thanks!!
