My son will be celebrating his 14th b-day...

the day after we arrive. What can we do for him? He is 14 so I don't want to do anything corny. I thought about having balloons delivered to our room but I don't know.

If you are staying at a disney resort, they will send a few balloons and a card signed from mickey, goofy, donald or whoever he likes for free, just tell them at check in, they r more than glad to do it! Make sure he gets a birthday pin at each park ( they are all different) and have perks to go along with them,. like maybe a cast member giving out a free fast pass, get to stay on a ride a second time, etc///////// have a great time!
Remember its Disney have a great time!

My son turned 16 while we were in WDW last year. We were staying at AKL and had a cake delivered from the resort bakery. It was in our room when we got back from his birthday dinner. They had the cake, plates, forks, and napkins. It is a small cake but cost less than $20 dollars (including delivery). We picked up few Pirate things from Magic Kingdom and I snuck back to the room, told him I had forgot something, after we had left for dinner and put them out. It was a very fun surprise for him. He is not one who would have wanted a big deal made at dinner, like singing by the restaurant people etc... The front desk also sent a Birthday card up to him signed by some of the Disney characters.

My son and I both celebrated our birthday this past aug. at disney. I agree, make sure to stop at the cs desk and get a birtday pin, as surprises will come your way. By the end of the day my son was embaresed as so many people wished him happy birthday, not just cast members.

We had our birthday dinner at the garden grill on the advise from a cast member. They gave us a very nice birthday cake for free, however I not sure if that is there policy. I would suggest that you ask before you make your reservation. They also have characters that come and give you a birthday card.
