We got a padded envelope in the mail today, addressed to my 3 year old. I thought it was the set of Pixar pins that our Yule-time purchase of Ratatouille and the Pixar Shorts DVD got us through Disney Movie Rewards. But no! He was Dreamed*!
He got the cutest light blue lanyard with "Where Dreams Come True" and "Year of a Million Dreams" written on it. On the lanyard were two CUTE pins. There's a circle surrounding the YOMD castle (people smarter than I have said it's sort of a hybrid of a castle) with "where my dream came true" and "walt disney world", and a banner across with "The year of a million dreams". One pin has donald and goofy, and the other pin has mickey and minnie. They are really really cute.
It was so exciting to get that in the mail! And Eamon was too cute (he's just about to turn 4)...hubby-Robert told him that he won it because I had sent mail-in entries, so DS insisted that I should have one of the pins.
The rules and regs are here. The very basic info is:
I have 3 USPS postcards (one for each of us) per mailing day (it's possible I could send one for Sunday, too, but it's not clear enough for me), with the mail-in address on the postage side, and on the other side I write the name, address, phone, and birthdate "vertically", so that address can't get confused with the other address. We've been sending them in haphazardly since Jan 1, and today we finally got something!
The costs of entering almost every day are very possibly going to be over the $$ value of prizes you might get, but hey, it's fun, and even though I think it was already won, I'm still going for the DVC membership.
*part of the Year of a Million Dreams, the big promo thing Disney has been doing for 1.5 years now...can win thing at any time while in the parks, and can enter by mail as well.
