My son wants Cindy!!!

HELP!!! My 4 year old son wants to see Cinderalla on our trip in April. I know that my best choice is to do a character meal, but I just can't bring myself to do it, not to mention my husband and 6 year old DS are already beside themselves about it. Any hints on where I might be able to see her in the parks?

Yup, that's where we saw Cindy when we went in 2002. My DS was 3 at the time and watched Cinderella daily for about 6 months. When it came time to meet Cindy, he totally froze. But he did hug Suzy and Perla!

I'd take him to one of the Cindy meals, honestly. We did the dinner at 1900 Park Fare on our last trip, in December. It was the highlight of the entire trip for our little guy (who is also a huge Cinderella fan). My husband and I had a great time, too. I know he probably won't care anything about princesses when he gets a bit older, so it was nice to be able to make some memories now while he's still little enough to be in love with Cinderella!

I agree thier are lots of boys in the CRT or Park fare meals. But if you decide to go to toon town ....my girls had the most WONDERUL princess experience. We went one night over to Toon town to see firworks because that is the BESTplace to see alll the fireworks (you just dont have castle in background). They were are Goofy's barnstormer when they started at the top of the hill ..it was pretty neat. Anyway after the firworks we went into tent and went back their were ZERO people inside!!! they got to visit Snow White, Cindy and Aurora and they were treated like princesses and danceing with each of them. Not to mention all the pictures!!! I would recommend it to everyone if you can!!!

On our last trip 2 trips, we have spent a lot of time doing things that included Cindy. My DS was celebrating his 4th b-day and to this day is in love with her! We have dined at CRT for B,L & D, 1900 for Dinner and Askerhaus for Dinner. At all there were boys. By far there were more girls, but my son was too concerned with the Princess' to even consider that he was a minority.

If you decide to go, I think it will be very magical for him! The princess' all love cute little boys! My son wore princess kisses on his cheek after each meal.

Otherwise toon town is a great place to have a special meeting!

Your DS can have Cindy, my DS wants Snow White! On DS's 1st trip for his 5th BD he insisted on meeting the princesses. We took him to the meet and greet at toontown and he met Aurora, Cindy and Snow White. He became instantly smitten with Snow and talks about her all the time. We are taking him for his second trip this fall, just before his 7th bd and he is still talking about going back and seeing Snow White again! He loves the Toy Story gang and would love to have breakfast with them if that character meal at MGM pans out, but he is IN LOVE with Snow (at least that's what he tells me. He also told me not to tell his little girlfriend at home). He said that even when he grows up and gets married he will still have a place in his heart for Snow. Kids are so cute aren't they?

i say let your son see who he wants to see. As my wife has pointed out to me , I would probably be a little apprehensive at first too. I have been before. ( she bought our son a pink and green dora the explorer blanket , because he likes dora ) But in the end , does it really matter? Would it be any different if a girl wanted to see buzz lightyear ? Let your son enjoy himself . Go for the breakfast !

Nothing wrong with another Prince Charming! Although we weren't able to go to the breakfast, we did have dinner at the castle one night. My DS, who was 4 at the time, thought it was so fun to be called Prince Ethan and sit on the big throne in the waiting area. We did see Cinderella in Toontown, and we have his picture with her. My son loves all the princess movies. Don't forget there are usually heroes in all of them, and the dragon was an added bonus for our son!

My son (three and a half) is also into Cinderella right now, plus Ariel if you want the truth. I don't have a problem with it, and we booked a dinner at 1900 Park Fare so he can see her plus the fairy godmother. Just remember what the CM told me when I booked the meal "It's never too early to have a crush" and pretty soon they'll be thinking girls are yucky anyway so roll with it for now. It's funny though, my husband never complains about having to see Ariel at WDW or about going to dinner with Cinderella ..... lol

I was a little confused at first because he's such a typical boy (loves Buzz, Power Rangers, Spiderman, etc.) but I think he can just appreciate the beauty and gentleness of certain things and people as well. I think that's a wonderful quality and I want to encourage it. I wouldn't hesitate to take him to CRT.

Thanks! Glad to be here. Oh, And my son loves Lilo as well! In fact I think our next character meal (in 2007) will be the 'Ohana Character Breakfast.

Toontown

On our first trip in 2003 we warned our DD and DS that the characters don't talk so they wouldn't be upset. On arrival day we got into Orlando late and decided just to go to MK so the kids wouldn't go stir crazy at the hotel. DD(3 at the time) got in line to see Cinderella and ran up and gave her a big hug and the Cindy spoke to her. She ran back to DW wide eyed and said "MaMa, she talks!". DW still says that was the best part of the entire trip.

I took my kids to 1900 Park Fair for dinner Prince Charming is there too so your other DS has a "hero". It is really cute how they interact with all the kids not just the girls. They call the boys my prince and it just about melts them.

My toddler boy goes weak in the knees for Alice. He likes to blow kisses to all the princesses. Yet, we're not going to a Cindy meal. Something about the little princesses (you know, the little girls) kinda scares me. My young Cassanova wouldn't mind going though.

We absolutely loved the atmosphere at 1900 park fare - Cinderella and the Prince just seemt o have more time at each table, and come around more than once!!

Also, for the Snow White lovers - She appears in Epcot - Germany I think, it was such a better picture than at the CRT meal - imho - at CRT you have to contend with the background of people or the windows with light coming in, but at Epcot she is front of a charming 'cottage' - Aurora and Belle also have "homes" in France... (which confused me, why does Aurora have a meal in Norway, but appears behind the French perfume shop/?? )
