Just curious, what did the family of the boy who was choking say or do?

Well this is the only awkward part of the story....but the family never even contacted us. It is so strange....the principal called me and said they had called and asked for our phone number and that they had something for Keith (which I don't expect ANYTHING at all) but they never ever called. This was almost 2 months ago. I have no idea why as I have never met them. The little boy was thankful...in fact our local news station did a story on both he and Keith with the parents permission...so ofcourse they know about it. So many of the news stations asked the same question....I never knew what to say.

I know...I am so puzzled by it. My neighbor is actually the one who emailed our local newspaper - they came to the school to do a story and then much to our surprise the AP picked up the story and it went everywhere.

That's awesome! He truly is a hero! Dunkin Doughnuts owes him some free doughnuts, too! I am stunned that the other boy's family hasn't called you.

A few weeks ago I was talking on the phone to a friend when her DH (in the background) started choking and passed out. When he started to pass out, he fell over the dining room table and when he hit the table, the food dislodged and flew out of his mouth. When he came to, his voice was very slurred and he had no idea what had just happened. It was very scary. I was on the other end of the phone listening to the whole thing.

Congrats again to your wonderful son. I'm sure you are a very proud momma!
