My son is 2 1/2 - what about fastpasses?

Since he is under 3 and free to get into the parks, do we just get fastpasses for the people with tickets and take him with us to ride when it is our time?

Also, should we take his birth certificate to verify his age, if asked?

He wont need a FP ticket. Just the ticket holders will. I didnt need a BC for my youngest, and people kept thinking he was my 4yr olds twin.

You won't need a birth certificate

My DS is very tall for his age and looks/acts much older. I have never had an issue at Disney. When he was 2 1/2 he was tall enough to go on the 40" rides and we didn't need a Fast Pass for him. If they asked we told them (truthfully) that he was under 3/no ticket and they waved us through. Never had a single issue. We also ate mainly character meals/buffets that trip since he was free and never had an issue there either.

He is 3 1/2 now and looks like a 5 year old and they still wave us through at the turnstiles even though he does have a ticket. We always make sure to run it through the machine though so we can still get the FP's.

I second what everyone else says about the FPs and BC. I also have a friend in the Orlando area who has AP and swears that she, as well as all of her friends in the same situation, have never ever or seen anyone have a problem with a child needing age verification. I mean I guess if you're trying to pass a 6 year old off as a 2.5 year old, you may have a problem. But if your kid is pretty close looking to the cut-off age, you're good. Plus, you ultimately could produce a birth certificate if absolutely needed. Have fun!
