Hi everyone, I recently returned from my very first solo Disney trip and I wanted to point out some of the highlights:
I rode my favorite ride, Expedition Everest, about 10 times. (Hooray for the single rider line!)
I experienced the "water ride" version of Test Track since it was raining heavily outside during the outdoor track portion. The ride photo was hilarious though.
I met Gaston, which was actually the only character meet I've ever done.
I experienced Illuminations, Mission Space, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight, Journey of the Little Mermaid, Under the Seas with Nemo, Living with the Land, Stitch's Great Escape, and the People Mover for the first time.
I rode Big Thunder Mountain at night which was great! Although weird, because the first time, there was some lighting, but the second time, it seemed like the track was completely dark.
I purchased Memory Maker and ended up with 75 cool trip photos.
I had great meals and excellent service at Be Our Guest, Yak & Yeti, Via Napoli, and Tokyo Dining. I didn't feel at all uncomfortable dining alone.
I got to see my favorite band Hanson perform at five Eat to the Beat shows (would've been six, but one was canceled due to lightning). They are amazing live performers! I was even able to get a meet and greet and take some photos with them during their Mmmhops beer seminar and bottle signing. That was completely unexpected but was an amazing finale to my trip!
So yeah, if you're considering going solo...do it!
