Day 1
Arrive at MCO safely. Get to baggage claim and my driver wasn’t there yet. Somehow my bag is the first off the tracky thing so I get my bag and wait for 5 minutes. Finally I see my Tiffany driver (Daniel from Brazil). He was very nice and got me there quickly. I couldn’t believe how humid and how many toll roads there was! I was dropped off and had no wait for check-in. Got to my room (Casitas 1 room 1141?) walk in and see that it hasn’t been cleaned all the way! There was used soap on the sink, towels on the bathroom floor, garbage wasn’t empty and there was someone’s cord to something on the sink. It also started to downpour like I have never seen! I called Front Desk to let them know and they said they’d give me a new non smoking room. Fine by me… “Someone will be there immediately,” she said. I waited 35 minutes for someone to come. Knock on the door…front desk…Dan had sent me a beautiful basket! Thanks Dan! I had called 2 times and someone had told me that the person was on their way. At that point I didn’t care if they just had house keeping come to clean it up! I just wanted to be settled, I had woken up at 4:00am and it was now 7:00pm. I finally called back and asked to speak to the manager at which point the person I was on the phone with came to give me my new keys. Ok trek over to my new room (Casitas 5 room 5201) Much nicer…the other rooms felt like I was at Motel 6 with the parking lot view. Next time I know to pay for the water view wherever I am going! Got settled in and remembered I forgot to buy my park passes! Duh! As I was walking back to El Centro I turned a corner around a bush and jumped a mile into the air…I had thought I saw an alligator what I saw was a ducks tail! LOL Go back get my pass arranged. Go to The First bus stop on my way to EPCOT J I am so glad the busses are clearly marked! I was one of the only ones on the bus…but at this point it was already 8:00 and Epcot closed at 9:00. First thing a CM says to me is “You’re alone????” LOL Go to Innoventions West to find postcard thingy. Get that done. Try to find Body Wars and spent a good 15 minutes wandering around in the darkness being lost. Finally ask and find it. No wait…not the best ride on an upset tummy! Head over to Test Track and get in the single rider line. That thing is great! There was quite a wait for it otherwise. Great Ride! Exited and Illuminations had started. I started to cross a bridge to what I thought was the exit…turned out I was headed to WS. I finally figure out how to leave to get back on the bus before a crowd forms. Get back and order pizza from room service…it wasn’t great but I was starving! I fell right to sleep after that!

Yikes! - great start: a dirty room. (But the surprise from Dan was nice - wasn't it?) I'm glad you had enough energy to go to EPCOT after a day of travelling!

I got tired just reading your post. I don't think I would have been able to find my way back to the hotel after being up for so many hours. Looking forward to your next post...:)

Well, the inconvenience of a dirty room was corrected by a better room. Not a bad trade.

I visited all the parks solo during November and I was never asked about it by a CM..hmmm, was it a male CM? Probably flirting with you, Meagan ;)

Sorry to hear they gave you a dirty room. I would have been quite annoyed! At least you got a nicer room and a basket from Dan...That made up for it, I think! :)
