My Sleepwalking DS - Hilarious!

Our 9 year old did the same thing on our Disney cruise this past Dec. He had to go to the bathroom and I woke up when I heard a soft click (the door to the hallway opening). I jumped up and caught him just before the door shut behind him. He would have stumbled around out there ending up who knows where and probably would have peed his pants too.

It is scary to think of him getting out to an open deck!

We put a chair and a few suitcases in front of the door the next couple of nights so he couldn't get out.

I am a sleeptalker and I have what I like to call waking dreams.

I can have whole, coherent conversations with people while asleep.

Then there are the dreams. I will be in this state between sleep and awake. I know I am in my bed but I will see and hear people. One time I saw a couple arguing and one turned to me and asked for privacy. So I got my pillow and blanket and slept on the couch that night.

I went through a sleepwalking phase as well...would wake up in the oddest places. One time I woke up in my grandmother's front yard just as a storm was moving in. Talk about scary.
