Or is this not allowed? I was just curious if she could get our Hopper Park Passes/Water Park Tickets? or is this shady :cool2:

If you are talking about the Florida Resident discount tickets then no, you would not be able to use them. You would have to provide proof of Florida residency, e.g. a Driver's license.

She can only buy a ticket for herself? what if we are with her? What if she wanted to give as a gift?

Any adult using a FL resident only ticket will be asked for ID upon using it.

Even if it was a gift, it's only good for another resident.

You asked in the first post of it was shady..and the short answer is yes, that's why Disney doesn't allow it.

I really just thought wow my sister now lives in Florida for about a year now and wouldn't that be great if she could get us tickets. I totally get it now :thumbsup2

You know what really stinks? I had a Florida license for SEVEN YEARS and didn't get to go to Disney the entire time (we were actually in Indiana most of that time but I go to school in FL and I never changed my license)... My license expired on FRIDAY. And now I am going to Disney with an Indiana ID. Such a bummer!

LOL...One of the perks of living in Florida. Our house is literally 12 miles from the Alabama border but I am on the right side. :cool1:

Just to clarify... she CAN get you tickets. She CAN NOT get you the Florida resident DISCOUNT tickets.

HOWEVER, I believe she CAN get your children Florida resident tickets. She would need to be there the first time those tickets are used.

These are the official rules:

Florida Resident tickets are only available to actual Florida Residents and cannot be purchased for out-of-state family or friends.

An adult Florida Resident may purchase Florida Resident media for more than one Florida Resident from any location that provides an exchange certificate and not an actual ticket.

Children under the age of 18 are not required to provide proof of Florida residency if they are accompanied by an adult with valid proof of Florida residency

If the Guest has an exchange certificate, a valid form of Florida ID will be required when the exchange certificate is redeemed for the actual pass

One ticket only per valid proof of Florida residence (a Florida resident may buy tickets for minors in the party)

Exchange Certificates may say:

"After sale..., may not be transferred except as a gift." This means that the certificate may be given as a gift, so long as the recipient meets the defined Florida residency criteria.

"Purchase and redemption of this exchange certificate requires proof of Florida Residency."

The following items are the only documents accepted as proof of Florida Residency:
* Valid Florida State Drivers License
* Valid Florida State issued ID Card with Florida Address
* Valid Florida University / College Student ID
* Valid Military ID stationed at one of the Florida Military Bases listed below:
(List of bases removed as unneeded)
(As of August 11, 2010, Voter Registration Card is no longer an allowed ID)
For Part-Year Residents the following original documents are acceptable.

Note that fax and photocopies are not acceptable, that bills and mail cannot be more than two months old, that PO Box addresses are not allowed, and items related to TimeShares are not permitted.
Must have a driver's license or state photo ID card from another state, or a non-US Passport and at least one of the following items which does show a Florida address:
* Proof of Rent, Mortgage or Ownership such as a Deed, mortgage, monthly mortgage statement, mortgage payment booklet or residential lease.
* Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill, current automobile insurance policy or bill or current utility bill.
* Statement from a financial institution showing checking, savings, credit card or investment information or mail from a Federal or Florida State, County or City government agency.

I remember when we first moved to Florida and were so excited to be able to visit Disney frequently. We went to AAA and bought our AP's with Florida resident discount. At the time we bought the passes ( which were actually vouchers) we weren't asked to provide proof of residency. Lo and behold we took the ferry from the TTC to the MK with our vouchers proudly in hand...and were told that since we hadn't updated our driver's license that we couldn't use them! We had to go home and get other documentation or update our licenses and come back. Can you tell that going to WDW was our first priority, lol? Anyway, they do check when you first use the tickets and are very strict about it. This is our perk for living in a steam oven for many months!---Kathy
